Evelyn Zebro - Asheville NC Real Estate Broker

Meet your Asheville Realtor - For Asheville North Carolina Real Estate!

If you're one of the lucky ones who've discovered Asheville North Carolina, then you might be thinking "I need an Asheville Realtor to show me Asheville Real Estate - because I want to live here."

That's where I come in.  If you feel that way you're off to a good start.  Asheville's a great place to live if you're looking for relaxed charm, authentic people who like to "live and let live," passionate folks who enjoy the arts, outdoors, hiking, biking, music in its many forms and just plain ole Southern Comfortable living.

I am a realtor and like many before me, I moved here from a big city.  My decision to move to a more accessible community where you can get to know the people you live among is very real here.  Not too many folks to live among does that to you I believe.

Yet - like some of the bigger cities I've lived -  here in Asheville NC we have much to choose from in the way of fine dining, great beers (that means great microbreweries) festivals and of course the Biltmore Estate.  If the Vanderbilt's chose to live here, when he could have chosen anywhere to be, that's saying something.

So become your own Vanderbilt and find your estate here in Asheville - with my help.  Whether you're looking for a country cabin, an in town loft, or that little place you just like to call "home," I'm here to help you find it.

Why Betty White is like a Good Realtor

I love football and was thinking about the Super Bowl, and Betty White came into my thoughts.  I started thinking how Betty White is like a Good Realtor.

In case some of you don't care for football or didn't see it, here's the commercial Betty appeared in (along with another crazy actor, older than dirt - Abe Vigoda (or at least older than me).  Watch it  so you know why Betty's got my vote for Good Realtor.

So now that you've seen Betty White in action, here's my reasons why Betty White is like a Good Realtor:

1. She's not afraid to play with the big dogs. Who cares if some people think she's over the hill. She's willing to show them why Experience comes with Age!

2. She jumps right in and does what she has to do to get the job done. Tough client/listing/buyer Tell 'em Betty -- Who said this would be easy? You want easy???  Go be Paris Hilton...

3. When she gets slammed, she gets right up and holds her ground. Betty's not a Whiner (Go Betty!!)

4. When somebody gives her flack she doesn't cry and get nasty - She stands her ground and tells it like it is. (Because she's a Professional and she's been in the business a while, remember?)

5. She knows how to have fun and not let life get too serious (good advice for these times).  Now we all know Realtors like to have fun...

6. And like any Good Realtor, she knows what to do when you just need a break - Eat Chocolate!

So Betty White gets my vote for showing why she's like a Good Realtor - And she loves dogs! Go Betty!!!

Guess the #1 Place to Retire - Find out why YOU Want to be there

The Number One Place to Retire is *Asheville* North Carolina, based on results compiled at TopRetirements.com.

I live here and moved here like alot of active older adults who used the internet to research various communities in the U.S. and for a long time Asheville came up on most lists, as it has now in this latest release on February 23, 2010.

Adctive Adult Asheville NC

TopRetirements.com based their findings by calculating the 100 towns with the most online visits for the 450 cities reviewed by Top Retirements. The list reflects the towns that site visitors are the most interested in for retirement.

Doesn't surprise me.

The leading website went on to say "as it has been since 2007, Asheville NC was the #1 town on the list. The combination of mountains, Carolina climate, recreational and cultural opportunities, and choice of places to live make it a perennial favorite."

OK. So I'd never go off and say it's New York. Or Paris. (Although in the past someone in promoting it called Asheville the "Paris of the South." I've been a copywriter in my past, as well as a publicist and I know an overstated comment when I read it. Or in real estate we'd call it puffery...)

So tonight I'm off to dinner at Posana Cafe http://www.posanacafe.com/ on historic Pack Square, then it's off to see the New York dance troupe Complexions Contemporary Ballet, founded by former Alvin Ailey veterans at the Diana Wortham Theatre.

So maybe I am in the Paris of the South...or the Manhattan of the Carolinas... (that's my line but you can use it!)
