I had a conversation with my friend (who may considering selling/short sale); he asked, "Are homes moving at all?" And I said, "YES."

So I say yes. The market is very ACTIVE.

Twilight Open Houses - Another Way To Shine In The Market

You're driving home and see several Open House signs. It's 6PM, and you are wondering an Open House on Thursday evening? Yes! More twilight open houses are getting popular.

Offering a way to see homes for the buyers during the weeknights can bring exposure to the listing. It's another technique to add visibility. The twilight gives the buyers a chance to see the homes during the weekday and save their weekend hours for other events.

The twilight may not bring a big crowd like Sunday Open House, however, there are definitely buyers that feel this time frame works for them (young professionals for example).

What's the advantage?

Sellers like the idea of using the weekday then to take the hours away from their precious weekend. Convenient for buyers to check out homes after work.
The listing can stand out from the weekend open houses.
You got great sunset views?
Terrific to capture that buyers emotion with twilight open house.

Altadena Homes Are Selling Over List Price

Wow! We know it is a very interesting and exciting time in the real estate market.

As of August 1 to August 27, there were 19 homes which closed escrow in Altadena. 5 homes sold over the list price, 1 sold at 100% asking, and rest sold at 94% or above. So who says homes are not selling? There are really great deals out there.

Who is Ellie?

Ellie was born, raised and educated in Yokohama, Japan, a cosmopolitan port city with more than 3.5 million people and home to more than 100,000 businesses today. She attended an International School in Japan and grew up with many students from around the world.

This made Ellie a person who welcomes and relate to people from all walks of life. She comes to the real estate industry with over 15 years of expertise in customer service and international business.

Her past experiences have given her knowledge in meeting facilitation, management support, foreign language translation, sales/marketing, proposal writing, and negotiation, which all have become an important tool she utilizes in her real estate profession.

My market area is in the San Gabriel Valley. I have gone out of area such as, Santa Clarita, Big Bear, West Hills, Torrance, Marina Del Rey. I go where my client's needs are.

Cities I focus are: Altadena and Pasadena. Other cities I work are: Alhambra, Arcadia, Eagle Rock, Glendale, South Pasadena, San Gabriel, San Marino, Temple City.

Love Altadena and Pasadena. I lived in Pasadena for 10+ years on Rose Villa Street, around the corner from Cal Tech, Old Town Pasadena, Paseo, ,South Lake Shopping Area, and more! Pasadena pretty much has it all and I can talk a lot about the city.

Altadena is beautiful. The area is near the foothills of San Gabriel Mountains. There are many areas of tree-lined streets. Neighborhoods consist of area such as the Janes Village, a historic landmark sited by the Altadena Heritage Association.

I now reside in Altadena, around the corner from JPL, Rosebowl, many hiking trails and beautiful views of the San Gabriel Mountain. It is very rustic near the mountains. Altadena is great. You feel like being in the country, and you can be in the city; Old Town Pasadena is minutes away and less than 1/2 hr. to downtown Los Angeles.
