Tickets are now on sale for the City of Arcadia's annual Taste of Arcadia to be held from 5:00 to 9 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 22, at the Los Angeles County Arboretum, 301 South Baldwin Ave.

Tickets are $40 prepaid or $50 at the door and will entitle you to taste some of the best food and beverages from San Gabriel Valley's finest restaurants, breweries and wineries and includes great live entertainment and dancing under the stars.

Summer may be over but the fun will continue...

The California Association of Realtors , for Los Angeles, indicated that entry-level housing affordability increased almost 50% in the 2^nd quarter of 2008 compare to 1 yr ago. That is a huge change. Last year, it was 24 % for the same period.

Minimum housing income needed to buy an entry-level home at $329,120 in California in the 2^nd quarter of this year was $62,870, based on an adjustable rate of 5.69 per cent with 10% down payment. This income was 38 per cent lower than a year before where over $100,000 was needed.

The High Desert region is the most affordable in state at 68%. San Francisco area Bay Area region was lease affordable at 32 percent.
