Technology Seminar
Woodbridge, New Jersey, November 20, 2009 -- Broker/Owners Karen & Bill Farragher, of Exit First Choice Realty, along with a few of their agents, attended a Get Productive Now! Technology Seminar. The event took place on November 20, 2009 in Mountain Lakes, NJ, and was presented by Jeff Lobb. Jeff is Exit Realty Corp International's Technology Specialist, and "he is tops in the field" exclaimed Bill.
The all day event included topics such as Social Networking, Multimedia and Video/Digital Production, it was technology for the Real Estate Professional. With technology changing everyday, agents need to stay on top of the "technology game" if they want to succeed in today's real estate market. Savy sellers and buyers are looking to the internet for answers and if agents don't have a large presence on the web they will be overlooked.
Bill Farragher stated that "Karen and I had a small foundation to build on, but have gotten enough information today to build a skyscraper. Implementation will be one floor at a time".
Eveyone that attended the seminar was pleased and learned a tremendous amout of useful information. "We all have our Digital Marketing Strategy in place now" remarked Karen.
EXIT only works with the best and most qualified trainers and "we are proud to be affiliated with them" said The Farraghers, "thanks Jeff you did an awesome job".

I couldn't belive it, there he was with the carts smashed into the store window as I walked by and said "I didn't do it." He was using one of those motorized cart pushers to help collect the carts from the parking lot. He had about 10- 12 carts and came up the sidewalk too fast and lost control and BAM right into the window of the store next door to the store he was working for.
The window must have been a safety glass because it didn't break completely out of the frame. It appeared that noone from the store even realized that it had been hit. I didn't think fast enough to use my camera to take a picture before the kid moved the carts away from the window.
What would you have done?
I called the store that the kid worked for and asked to speak to the manager to explain what one of the workers had just done. Guess what she tells me? We don't bring the carts up on that side of the store. Are you kidding me? I explained that I just went past him as he did it. Yea, ok I will check it out came the response. Realizing that she probably wasn't going to do anything, I proceeded to call the store that had the window broke. I have to go through the phone gate keeper to get to the manager. Or so I thought, I explain what happened to the gatekeeper, she puts me on hold for 2 minutes then gets back on the phone to continue to interrogate me as if it was a crank call. Needless to say the manager of that store never got on the phone. I waited in the parking lot in my car to see if either manager from either store was going to check it out. Bingo, that's right, neither one of them ever came out to check it out.
I can picture the call to the store's insurance company the next day. Excuse me sir/ma'am do you know how this happened? No it was fine when we left last night, someone must have smashed it during the night.
Do you think I am wrong in expecting someone to take responsibility for their actions? What if the kid smashed the carts into your car instead of the store window and walked away. How would you like to come out and see your window or headlight smashed and have no idea of how it happened and you would now have to pay for it?
Should I have done more? Should I have gone into the store instead of calling? I would love to know what your thoughts are.
Thanks.
Here it is just after midnight and my thoughts take me to what today is. Veteran's Day, the men and women who serve our country. We have the Greatest Country in the World because of our Freedom's. I was lucky when I was in the service and did not see any combat.
I have such a high regard and respect to those that have served and are serving this country's call to duty. During this day we should remember all the Veteran's and their families because they are involved also.
Say a prayer for peace, and for the Leaders of this land and lands across the globe to work on peace but that doesn't mean letting our defences down against those that are determined to destroy us.
I have watched over the last 30 years which way our government is heading and I have to say it isn;t what our founding fathers intended. Too many government programs and rules and regulations interfering with our everyday lives. Too many well intentioned programs that have run unchecked for years. Our tax dollars being wasted. We have to make our government answer to us not the other way around.
People risk their lives to come to this country because it is the land of opportunity not the land of handouts. I fear we are getting closer and closer to becoming a socialized country. What makes people think that works when it really isn't working anywhere else.
Show me one program that this government has started over 10 years ago that is running the way they said it would and has not been expanded beyond all imagination in size and cost.
Now think about what they want to do with healthcare?
That's my 2 cents on the soapbox.
Stand up and fight for our country against the political machine that wants to take over every aspect of our lives. That is the least we can do in honor of the men and women who gave up their lives for our FREEDOM.
Thanks for reading.
Someone just passed this on to me. I thought it was a good reminder. These are good things to remember all year but especially as we approach the Holiday Season it is more important to keep your mind on your surroundings.

Because of recent abductions |
In daylight hours, refresh yourself
of these things to do
in an emergency situation...
This is for you,
and for you to share
with your wife,
your children,
everyone you know.
After reading these 9 crucial tips,
forward them to someone you care about.
It never hurts to be careful
in this crazy world we live in.
1. Tip from Tae Kwon Do :
The elbow is the strongest point
on your body.
If you are close enough to use it, do!
2.. Learned this from a tourist guide.
If a robber asks for your wallet and/or purse,
DO NOT HAND IT TO HIM.
Toss it away from you....
Chances are that he is more interested
in your wallet and/or purse than you,
and he will go for the wallet/purse.
RUN LIKE MAD IN THE OTHER DIRECTION!
3. If you are ever thrown into the trunk of a car,
kick out the back tail lights and stick your arm out the hole
and start waving like crazy..
The driver won't see you, but everybody else will.
This has saved lives.
4. Women have a tendency to get into their cars
after shopping, eating, working, etc., and just sit
(doing their chequebook, or making a list, etc.
DON'T DO THIS!)
The predator will be watching you, and this
is the perfect opportunity for him to get in
on the passenger side, put a gun to your head,
and tell you where to go.
AS SOON AS YOU GET INTO YOUR CAR ,
LOCK THE DOORS AND LEAVE..
If someone
is in the car
with a gun
to your head
DO NOT DRIVE OFF,
Repeat:
DO NOT DRIVE OFF!
Instead gun the engine
and speed into anything, wrecking the car.
Your Air Bag will save you.
If the person is in the back seat
they will get the worst of it .
As soon as the car crashes
bail out and run.
It is better than having them find your body
in a remote location.
5. A few notes about getting
into your car in a parking lot,
or parking garage:
A.) Be aware:
look around you,
look into your car,
at the passenger side floor ,
and in the back seat.
B.) If you are parked next to a big van,
enter your car from the passenger door.
Most serial killers attack their victims
by pulling them into their vans while the women
are attempting to get into their cars.
C.) Look at the car
parked on the driver's side of your vehicle,
and the passenger side... If a male is sitting alone
in the seat nearest your car, you may want to walk back
into the mall, or work, and get a
guard/policeman to walk you back out.
IT IS ALWAYS BETTER TO BE SAFE THAN SORRY. (And better paranoid than dead.)
6. ALWAYS take the elevator
instead of the stairs.
Stairwells are horrible places to be alone
and the perfect crime spot.
This is especially true at NIGHT!)
7. If the predator has a gun
and you are not under his control,
ALWAYS RUN!
The predator will only hit you (a running target)
4 in 100 times; and even then,
it most likely WILL NOT be a vital organ.
RUN, Preferably in a zig -zag pattern!
8. As women, we are always trying
to be sympathetic:
STOP
It may get you raped, or killed.
Ted Bundy, the serial killer, was a good-looking,
well educated man, who ALWAYS played
on the sympathies of unsuspecting women.
He walked with a cane, or a limp, and often
asked 'for help' into his vehicle or with his vehicle,
which is when he abducted
his next victim.
9. Another Safety Point:
Someone just told me that her friend heard
a crying baby on her porch the night before last,
and she called the police because it was late
and she thought it was weird.. The police told her
'Whatever you do, DO NOT
open the door..'
The lady then said that it sounded like the baby
had crawled near a window, and she was worried
that it would crawl to the street and get run over.
The policeman said, 'We already have a unit on the way,
whatever you do, DO NOT open the door.'
He told her that they think a serial killer
has a baby's cry recorded and uses it to coax
women out of their homes thinking that someone
dropped off a baby.. He said they have not verified it,
but have had several calls by women saying that
they hear baby's cries outside their doors
when they're home alone at night.
10. Water scam!
If you wake up in the middle
of the night to hear all your taps outside running or what you think is a
burst pipe, DO NOT GO OUT TO INVESTIGATE! These people turn on all your
outside taps full blast so that you will go out to investigate and
then attack.
Stay alert, keep safe, and look out for your neighbours!
Please pass this on
This e-mail should probably be taken seriously because
the Crying Baby Theory was mentioned on
America 's Most Wanted when they profiled
the serial killer in Louisiana
I'd like you to forward this to all the women you know.
It may save a life. A candle is not dimmed by lighting another candle..
I was going to send this to the ladies only,
but guys, if you love your mothers, wives, sisters, daughters, etc.,
you may want to pass it onto them, as well.
Send this to any woman you know that may need
to be reminded that the world we live in has a lot of crazies in it
and it's better to be safe than sorry..
Wow, what a week of excitement, education, and entertainment. Steve Morris outdid himself again this year. Bob Proctor, Walter Sanford, Steadman Graham, The Passing Zone. Plus the $100,000 Grand Prize Drawing at midnight at the President's Ball Saturday night.
Came back fired up and ready to rock and roll. Already registered for next year's convention which is in Dallas.
See you there.
