Homes, Bikes and Louisville KY

I have not officially made the move to be a "Real Estate Peddler", but here is an interesting article about an agent out west who is catering to bikers by promoting her biker friendly listings. At this point going from Buckner to Prospect over to east Louisville and back to Crestwood, I might lose a few clients if I tell them to hop on their bikes and follow me to the next showing. Actually, I am not sure I would make it up the hill on Hwy 393. Anyway, maybe Oldham County may not be the best bike commute for everyone, but there are a few areas of town that may work.

The one that comes to mind immediately is the Highlands. Whether walking or biking, you can be to the grocery, shops, parks, restaurants, downtown and just about anything you need with a little time and effort. We lived in the Highlands for about 7 years an absolutely loved it. To get an idea of what the homes in the Highlands are like visit Highland Homes. There are homes that are less expensive and others that are as much as you would want. Go a head and check them out, easy rider.

Foreclosure in L Esprit Almost 10 acres Horse Community

Almost forgot. I saw a foreclosure in L'Esprit out in Oldham County. L'Esprit is a community built for horse folks with riding trails. It is on a little less than 10 acres, around 4600 sqf including basement, Under $580,000.

Neighborhood Watch Briar Hill in Crestwood KY

Briar Hill is a destination for many families moving to Crestwood, KY. It is very close to East Louisville's The Summit, Old Brownsboro Crossing and Springhurst Towne Center shopping areas, but in the Oldham County School District.

Briar Hill has 3 sections.

Briar Hill Farms is the oldest section and homes are in the Mid $200's-$300's and should for the most part be on acre lots.

Briar Hill Estates has some beautiful homes approaching 15-20 years old with beautiful treed one acre or so lots. Very Nice yards and plenty of trees for Tree Swings.

The most recent part of Briar Hill Estate is a newer section with new construction and homes under 10 years old. Nice houses, lots got smaller since they are on sewers and not septic, but still decent size. Very nice homes in the newest section. Also, there are a few spec houses on the market that I think you could get a great deal on, let me know if you want me to email them to you.

We have many friends who live in Briar Hill and they really love the neighborhood and how close it is to Louisville and the Schools in Oldham County.
