Be THE market leader for $.....???? huh

So many landing pages, so many gimmicks leading you, the consumer, to leave the old "mickeymouse@whateveryouchoosethatemailtobe.com just to view listings. It's frustrating I know. You want to look for homes and do your homework but, you don't want the thousands of emails and the calls from real estate agents! I really do understand. There's a way around this; search the market area you're interested in; look at the blogs, testimonials, and websites of the "real" Realtors in your area. Everyone is so accustomed to page 1 of Google as the "standard" of real estate professionals and the opportunities to view listings. That's a big no. Are there Realtors that do have time to answer your questions without "harassingyou with a thousand emails? Yes., and you can make the move to contact us when you're ready to take your real estate needs to the next level. You Take the time to do your homework and find the professional that you feel comfortable and want for your home buying and selling needs. Not all of us focus on just "page 1 of Google", some of us focus on your needs.... I won't pay for your business, I want to earn your business.

The most important part of your business plan as a Realtor

Real estate is more than sending some listings, presenting listing presentations, and driving to and from homes of interest. Perhaps we as Realtors, need to explain this better. We are professionals, we are our profession. There's a valuable part of our business that we, and our clients, tend to overlook and we need to stop it now. That most valuable part is Time! In a "sales" business, we need to ensure we are one step ahead of time management and time wasters. The time you waste today doesn't come back in the long run. Your childs soccer game or musical recittal should and is important, don't put it off. In a time of flux that the economy is in, we need to, as Realtors, balance our biggest and most treasured asset, time. Work with qualified customers looking to be clients. Don't waste your time if the commitment is not there on both ends. We treat our customers fairly, but we should treat our clients like gold. Take the time to educate your customers so they're glad to become your client.

Just my two cents, from your retired veteran, your full time Realtor!

You don't own the home until the loan closes...

Home buyer; I know you're excited about the new home and I wrote something similar in the past about it, but I want to re-emphasis.... You don't know want to jeopardize the buying of your house during the loan process. When your Realtor and loan officer tell you not to make any major purchases until the loan is funded, we do it for you, really. There is always another time during the loan process when your credit and bank accounts are checked for verification, you have to have what you've offered in the contract. You having the money for the down-payment could have played a role in your offer being accepted. Why jeopardize that? Do not buy, buy, buy, period, especially in today's economy, but more important; do not make any major purchases until you are funded, period.

Just my two cents to help you wear the badge of "homeowner!"
