A total of 517 homes and other properties sold in August through the Victoria Real Estate Board's Multiple Listing
Service® (MLS®) compared to the 616 sales in July. There were 846 sales in August of last year.

There were 160 Condominium's Sold in August throughout Victoria with an average selling price of $302,200
There were 53 Townhouses Sold in August throughout Victoria with an average selling price of $413,994

New Pending Sales over the Last 30 days = 28
Number of Sold's this week (completed sale)= 11
Average Single Family Home Selling (pending sales) price this week: $586,000 (-12% change over YTD) Average Days on Market= 62
Average Condo/Townhouse Selling Price this week: $353,500 Average Days on the Market = 40
Number of homes and condo's listings expiring this week = 4
Average SF Selling Price (460 homes) YTD: $661,378 Average DOM 51
Average Condo/Townhouse Selling Price (235 homes) YTD: $416,674 Average DOM 56
Note: Currently the 12% gains for 2007 appear to be gone, we are back to a balanced market, pricing is important when Selling, with great choices if you are Buying. CMHC is forecasting around a 3% gain for house prices for 2008. On The Labour Day Weekend we went to the 141 st Annual Saanich Fair,
it is Western Canada's Oldest Continuous Agricultural Fair.
The Local News Paper indiacted there would be 60,000 people in attendance over the three day weekend. it was held at the Saanich Fairground, I'm sure they were right.
