Neely Ranch in Gilbert Arizona is one of my favorite small subdivisions in the "East Valley" of the Phoenix/Mesa/Gilbert Metro area. Neely Ranch consists of several hundred homes situated on the northeast corner of Cooper Road and Elliot Road in Gilbert, Arizona. These Neely Ranch homes were built in the late 90's by Kaufman and Broad (KB Homes) in an area that was mostly rural at the time but is now a vibrant suburb.

Most Neely Ranch properties range in price from the low $100's up to about $300,000 or so and range in size from approximately 1400 sf up to 3000+ sf. The mix is mostly 3, 4, and 5 bedroom homes with lots in the 7-10,000 sf range. The Neely Ranch neighborhood is quite green compared to many Gilbert Arizona communities and has many mature trees lining the streets as well as grass lawns in front of the majority of the homes. This is quite different than many subdivisions in the East Valley that have rock or stone in the front yards (desert landscaping). Believe it or not this actually has the effect of making the community a few degrees cooler than surrounding areas. The educational needs of Neely Ranch are served by Oak Tree Elementary, Mesquite Jr High and Mesquite High School.

Neely Ranch is conveniently located within a few miles of The Mesa Grand shopping center located at Stapley (Cooper) Rd and the US 60 freeway, which is the main route from the East Valley into Phoenix and only about 12 miles from Phoenix Sky harbor International Airport. also nearby is Freestone Park, which features a skate park, ball fields, duck ponds and miles of walking paths and is just a few minutes away.
