A Sarasota, Florida Real Estate Broker was arrested with a trunk full of stolen real estate signs from a Competitor. Charged with petty theft, his mug shot is in the local paper.
But the signs may have been Illegal, and the Competitor is the Brother-in-Law of the Broker.
"2/1 Condo, 23K Cash", followed by a Phone Number, read the signs.
They are plastered up and down the roadways in Bradenton, Florida.

The signs may be in violation of City and County Code.
There is no Name of the Real Estate Brokerage that owns these Condos, a possible Florida Real Estate Commission Violation.
The Re-Enactment of the great Battle is so real it is like being transported back in time. Only the cheering of the crowds reminds you that this is 2012, not 1865.
The Re-Enactment occurs every year in March. Hundreds of re-enactors and thousands of spectators participate in this 3-day event.
In March of 1865, lookouts at the St. Marks Lighthouse reported Yankee Gunboats unloading troops onto the Coast.
The brave men of Tallahassee assembled. These Confederates included the young Cadets from the Military Institute, a fraternity of older veterans known as "The Gadsden Grays", and a number of Black Confederates.
The Southerners met Union General John Newton and his 1000 troops at an unusual geographic formation on the St. Mark's River known as "Natural Bridge".
The Confederates completely routed the Union Army.
The Re-Enactment is held in March every year.
Attendance is Free.

Port St. Joe sits on a beautiful stretch of Florida waterfront. But the town was ignored for over 50 years... because a Paper Mill fouled the air for miles around. The Mill was demolished in 1999; a Resort City with neighborhoods and hotels was planned.
A Marina was built, the Port St. Joe Downtown was renewed... then came the Crash.

The St. Joe Company is planning to develop the deepwater port. Not for the Cruise Ships and Casino Boats that were rumored in 2005, but for Commercial Shipping.
The Panama Canal is being widened to accomodate the "Panamax Ships".
A deepwater port in Port St. Joe, with an adjoining railroad line already in place, and the recently opened International Airport just 60 miles away, should be very attractive to commercial shipping interests.
20 Acres have already been leased to the Eastern Shipbuilding Group of Panama City, Florida.
Port St. Joe City Officials are scrambling to rezone the site of the old Paper Mill.
Port St. Joe is one of 14 Deepwater Ports in Florida (not counting Key West).
Some of the most beautiful beaches in America are close to Port St. Joe (Cape San Blas, Panama City Beach, Mexico Beach). Apalachicola is just a few miles to the East.

During the Real Estate Boom, the St. Joe Company (which at that time owned over 1 million acres in Florida; they still have about 550,000 acres) planned a very upscale development.
The St. Joe Company had Congressional approval to relocate US Highway 98 away from the beach, which would enhance their proposed beachfront golf courses, hotels, shopping centers, and condominiums.
At the peak of The Real Estate Boom of the mid-2000's, vacant lots that had sold for $15,000 spiked to $250,000. But then came the Crash, and everything ground to a halt.

The Real Estate Boom came and went; they failed to capitalize on it. But now Port St. Joe has another shot.
The Revival of the Deepwater Port, coupled with the new Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport, may be the Economic Life that Port St. Joe has been seeking.
Harold Joseph "Hub" Hubbell was friends with Roy Rogers, Dale Evans, Gene Autry, Clayton Moore, Gary Cooper, Hoot Gibson, and Red Ryder. Hub was a Rodeo Star, a Trick Shooter, and a master at Throwing the Lasso.
He and his wife Eunice were "The Shooting Hubbells", amazing crowds with Pistol and Rifle trick shooting, until gun laws and insurance costs became too prohibitive.
The Sarasota Herald Tribune reports,
"A rodeo star, exhibition shooter and trick roper, Hubbell was the consummate entertainer, who worked with the likes of Roy Rogers, Dale Evans, Gene Autry, Montie Montana and dozens more from the Golden Age of Hollywood Westerns."
Farmer and Rancher says,
"Hub began working with cattle and horses when he was young and went on to work with such stars as Roy Rogers, Dale Evans, the Lone Ranger, the Cartwrights, and Hoot Gibson, to name a few.
In 1942 he enlisted in the Cavalry. He was stationed near Valdosta, Georgia, where he honed his skills tending cattle on hundreds of acres that made up the military base."

Circus Anonymous blogs about the Hubbells:
"He is a legend," Biographer Judith Leipold said. "His passing will be mourned by people throughout the nation.
"Hub" Hubbell, 94, died Saturday on the back porch of his ranch — the property on University Parkway with the roadside rodeo props.
He was preceded in death by his wife Eunice, who died in 2009.
Ellian Rosaire knew Hubbell for more than 25 years. She owns one of his favorite hangouts, a stable and riding academy in Sarasota.
"He was world famous, the shining star of Sarasota's cowboy scene," Rosaire said. "He was a cowboy gentleman through and through."
