Helping You to Help Your Customers
As a mortgage broker, you are a trusted advisor to your customers. When customers turn to you for questions about refinancing because they are struggling with their mortgage payments - you need solutions.
There are many options available and that's why Fannie Mae wants to help you stay informed.
The first thing to do is to submit their application through DO® to see if they may be eligible for refinancing. If refinancing isn't an option, here are some other ways in which you can help.
•· Encourage your customers to contact the mortgage company that is servicing their loan. Mortgage servicers have many options to help customers and making contact is the first step. Click here to view some of the typical work out options.
•· Check out www.HomePath.com - this site provides useful links and information on who to contact and what information customers should have available
•· Homeowners may also get help by calling the Homeownership Preservation Foundation at 1-888-995-HOPE or search online to find a local counselor

Bart is considering putting in place a surcharge for travel during peak hours. That's going to really piss-off a lot of riders. The goal is to get more people to ride. Taxing riders will only dissuade them from riding. If you want to alleviate traffic at peak times, than instead offer discount to those who travel-off peak. it will encourage existing riders to change their patterns but also encourage other groups ride.
the city councill will be voting on a ban to developing "monster homes on Tuesday at 7pm at City Hall. Homes with predominantly single story homes will have the chance to block construction of two-story homes adn additions for as long as 7 years. This is a big issue for the Glenmoor and Mission Ranch community, where existing owners want to preserve the look and feel of their neighborhood.
I was having a conversation last night with a buyer frustrated with what you get for $975,000 in the penninsula (which is about a 1400-1600 sqft on a 5000-7000 lot, 3 br 2 ba and about 50 years old).
Here in Pleasanton, I did a search for what most won't consider a good size home for a family of 4.
Here are the parameters:
<$975,000 4+ BR 3+ BAs 2000+ living space the result was 8 homes. check them out Click Here to View Listings
3 of which were not worth looking at and the remaining 5 had potential. Definitely a lot more house than what you'd get in San Carlos. The schools are better, you've got access to BART for SF and 680 to get to SJ.
Some of these homes are twice the size of what he described was available in San Mateo & San Carlos.
both of these are great opportunites if you are looking for great schools associated home priced under $550K.
