This client was referred to me by her parents. I had sold their home a few years ago. The beauty of this referral was that I was able, to again, spend time with former clients. It is always a pleasure to spend time with people who appreciate and trust you. Good economy or bad, they know that you are their trusted advisor.
We viewed many homes. Some we liked, some we didn't. We had a few laughs along the way, as well as, an education about this current market.
I found her a home that was close to her parent's new home. Quite by coincedence, actually. Close enough for visits, yet far enough, for each of them to have their privacy.
Referrals are the best! Oh, By the Way. . . if you know of someone who could use my good services, please provide me with their contact information. I will be happy to follow up and take good care of them for you! I am never too busy for your referrals!
Fran sells Marlborough, Ct!
I love these tours! It gives us an opportunity to network with our area Realtors and bankers. The bankers usually provide the food:) Looking at ten properties in one day, within three hours is good practice for when you have buyers to show homes to. You learn to scan the mls sheet, to walk quickly through the property, glance at the yard and neighborhood and poof, you're on your way to the next home!
We get silly and laugh, which is so good to do in this market! On the serious note, I often participate in these broker open tours and find a home for one of my clients! True story!
So, if you are not busy tomorrow, join us! We're starting at 86 Stonecroft Lane in Coventry at 11am. From there, you can obtain the list of the remaining homes to view. Three are in Coventry and seven will be in Manchester, Ct. I will be at my new listing, 87 Prospect St in Manchester.
Hope to see you there! Bring cards because nine of the ten homes will have a drawing for the agents who attended and the very last home will have lunch served to all attendees!
It's a Good Life,

Keeping track of your progress is key to our business of real estate right now. Are your tracking your numbers, daily? Tracking your activity and interaction with your clients and customers?
I am so fortunate to have a Coach who really does keep me going and going. Though, to hear it from him, I am coachable") and there lies my true success. Well, if I am told that doing certain habits and exercises everyday, will make my life a breeze and success will find me, of course, I listen to my Coach!
Another person to have on your team to help you through the year, would be an accountability partner. It needs to be someone who knows you and understands your life as a Realtor:) Maybe, even, another Realtor! You talk or meet once a week and go over your goals, your business and in general, your life. It would be an exchange between the two of you. You could meet for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Walk or go to the gym together. As long as you encourage and help eachother, it becomes a good partnership.
Find someone that you know or admire and talk to them about being your accountability partner. It does make you do more, because you become competitive with yourself by trying to account to someone else:) I laugh and encourage my buddies and they, do the same for me.
It's a Good Life,

We used to believe this when I was a child. We went from the local parade to a neighborhood/family barbecue. The pools were opened and most years, it was very warm outdoors. Summer activities began. The daylight savings time is most welcomed.
Some folks wait for the 4th of July, for their summer kickoff. School is out and plans are made for summer vacations. Whether it be at a local beach, nearby lake or in your backyard pool, we look for a way to enjoy the warm weather that this season brings. My Dad worked at Pratt & Whitney in East Hartford, Ct. They had shutdown for the first two weeks of August, every year. So, in our family, that is when we took our summer vacation. By then, the lake water is warmer and so is the ocean water. Having had a pool, you can control the water temperature with a heater, so, the pool can be enjoyed much earlier.
Baseball has begun! There is something special about going to a baseball game. Hot dogs, crackerjacks and yes, beer. Always seems to taste better at a game. Locally, attending minor league games is a real fun time. I have a summer event for my clients that is held at a ballpark where the Rock Cats play. They hold contests for the kids and sponsor community fundraisers. Always a hit with those in attendance.
Picnics, ballgames, beach days, outdoor car shows, boating, gardening; what do you do to enjoy this summer season? Family traditions, neighborhood block parties, community participation, walks, runs, etc.
Kick off your Summer Season and enjoy the beautiful, sunny days!
Remember our military this holiday weekend. Attend a local parade and support our troops. Those that serve our country ensure our freedom and we cannot thank them or honor them enough. God Bless America!
It's a Good Life!

Yes, our Governor, the Honorable Jodi Rell, has set up a fabulous website for those who still want to take a vacation, yet, because of our budgets, cannot travel far. She has had her staff out and about enlisting discount offers for those who would like to spend some of their vacation time, here at home, in Connecticut.
We do have a lovely shoreline, though, most of it is privately owned. There are marinas, shops, restaurants, hotels and good attractions spread out across our state. Mountains for walking, bike trails crossing through several towns and yes, even rafting on the Farmington River can be done. We have lots of history in our state, too. Museums, parks, outdoor shopping, walking on cobblestone streets, amusement parks, race track, all available, and now with discounts for the public.
Here's the link! Hope that even if you live across our borders, you find it in your budget to come by and visit us. We'd love to have you:)
