Easton Connecticut single family home sales slowed down in Easton by 33% from 2010 to 2011. As you can see from the graph above, home sales and prices continued to decline over the past six months and even more over the past three months. The freak October snow storm caused widespread power outages and the normal holiday slowdown contributed to the decline in numbers.
At the present rate of 3-4 home sales per month, it would take approximately two years to sell off all the inventory. We hope that the Spring market will bring buyers now that the job market has picked up and while interest rates remain low. This is a strong Buyer's market in Easton, Connecticut at the present.

Darien, Connecticut is currently a strong Buyer's market with more than 9 month's of inventory for single family homes. Prices continued to decline over the past 12 months and fewer homes sold. There is one positive sign in the statistics - the days on market are declining. With the job market on the upswing and mortgage rates and home prices low, we are expecting a good Spring market in Darien.

The Fairfield, Connecticut real estate market is still showing signs of slowing down. The slowdown over the past 3 months can be attributed in part to the season and the freak October snow storm and accompanying power outages. However, the 6 months to 12 months’ comparison also shows that fewer homes are selling and sales prices are declining. In fact, the current inventory suggest that it would take more than 10 months to sell all the homes currently on the market. This is a very strong Buyer’s Market in Fairfield and the trend over the past 3 and 6 months is in the direction of an even stronger Buyer’s Market. We are hoping that the positive impact of the new Fairfield Metro train station and a strong turnout of buyers in the Spring market will increase sales and prices.
