An article in the Connecticut Post states that the Black Rock train station could be up and running by the end of 2010, although there may not be an enclosed commuter waiting area. It appears that the Department of Transportation (DOT) is taking over the project from Black Rock Realty and the Town of Fairfield. There will be shelters and platforms, a pedestrian access to both sides of the tracks, (1,200-1,500 spaces), and a commuter drop-off area.
For more information visit the Connecticut Post website at www.connpost.com and search for "Fairfield Metro Center"
