The benefits of yoga available to us are many, regardless of age, flexibility or degree of proficiency
All levels of yoga students are welcome to participate in hatha yoga classes taught by a Kripalu certified yoga instructor, Edie Cassidy. Classes are offered at Black Rock Pilates studio and at 245 Ellsworth St. both in Black Rock.
Mats, blocks and straps are available at the studios but each practitioner is urged to bring his/her own mat.

An article in the Connecticut Post states that the Black Rock train station could be up and running by the end of 2010, although there may not be an enclosed commuter waiting area. It appears that the Department of Transportation (DOT) is taking over the project from Black Rock Realty and the Town of Fairfield. There will be shelters and platforms, a pedestrian access to both sides of the tracks, (1,200-1,500 spaces), and a commuter drop-off area.

I also obtained my e-PRO designation, which provides expertise in the use of Internet technology.
My husband, Bill Pinciaro, and I run Pinciaro & Robinson, a commercial and residential real estate business with the William Raveis Real Estate firm, which is located in Southport, Connecticut. Bill specializes in commercial real estate in Bridgeport and surrounding towns and cities.
Prior to my real estate career, I held internal and external consultancy positions with Fortune 500 companies, such as PepsiCo, Citigroup, Unilever, and Pfizer. I have a Ph.D. from Columbia University, which I obtained in 1990 in Organizational Psychology.
I am a community activist who has been involved with the Black Rock community for over 20 years as a founding member of the St. Mary's Block Watch, Black Rock Neighborhood Block Watch, and the Ash Creek Conservation Association, Inc. I remain active in protecting the Ash Creek tidal estuary as President of the Ash Creek Conservation Association, a 501 (c) 3 charitable organization.
I believe blogging is emerging as an important technological tool for community activists and that by combining my professional interests in real estate with my community interests in a community blog (www.blackrockonline.org) everyone can benefit. Blogging allows members of the community to participate online and community organizations to post events and information directly without an intermediary. This ensures that information will be refreshed and updated by its originators. It provides a resource for community members and an opportunity for the sponsor and community organizations to share their information.
