White Sulphur Springs - Saturday, December 3rd at 6:00 PM. Line-up will begin at 4:30 PM. The parade will begin on Ingleside Avenue on the east end of town and continue to Salisbury Avenue. Call 304-536-2025 for more information.
Immediately following the White Sulphur Springs parade... The Greenbrier - will host its Third Annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony at the Greenbrier . 6:00 PM
Line-up for the parade will start at 4:30 in the Rainelle Industrial Park. The parade will travel to City National Bank along Kanawha Avenue and Main Street. The Christmas Tree Lane Bazaar is an annual tradition at the Lewisburg United Methodist Church! On Thursday, December 1st, you can shop, all day from 10:00 AM until 7:00 PM. Shop at the many different tables...
Cookie Walk offers a huge variety of homemade cookies.
Sweet Shop offers a variety of baked goods, candies, jellies, and jams.
The Kitchen Corner offers quarts of chili, cashews, pecans, and a selection of RADA cutlery.
The Tree, Trim and Treasures booth offers a variety of used Christmas decorations.
The Stocked Market offers an array of handmade arts and crafts and will include wreaths, ornaments and decorative items.
Poinsettia sale offers a variety of red, pink and white poinsettias in two different sizes. The poinsettias are from Milmont Greenhouse in Waynesboro, NC.
For the children, there will be a Santa's Secret Workshop where special elves will help them purchase and wrap gifts for their family for a very low price!
The United Methodist Youth Fellowship booth offers their famous homemade rock candy, as well as an assortment of gifts in a jar, including soup and cookie mixes.
Tickets for lunch and dinner will be sold at the door:
A luncheon will be served by the United Methodist Women from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM and offers a wide variety of salads, chili, rolls and desserts.
For dinner, the United Methodist Men will cook up some pancakes/sausage starting at 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM. You can choose from buckwheat or regular, and you'll receive a side of sausage, too!

Christmas is about giving, and the Lewisburg United Methodist Women and Men pay it forward every year preparing food and donating their time for the Lewisburg United Methodist Church Christmas Bazaar to support church missions and community projects.
The Greenbrier County Real Estate Market Report for October 2011. As noted in the graphic below sales were higher in 2011 as compared to 2010. Please note that this is only for Residential listings.

In October 2011, 19 houses sold - price range from $27,000 to $865,000
In October 2010, 13 houses sold - price range from $17,500 to $1,907,500
(Note: the higher priced houses in the million dollar range are located in the Greenbrier's Sporting Club)
The average days on the market in October 2011 was 163, compared to 217 in October 2010.
We see that the real estate market in 2011 is still a buyer's market and there are some good deals out there! As prices go down and length of time on the market is decreasing, we may start to see multiple offers that would drive prices up slowly. The buyers that are looking should make a decision while prices and interest rates are still low.
