tragedy for one of his friends. Their house caught on fire
last night and they thankfully escaped with minor injuries
but all of their belonging's clothes and such are gone. We
are trying to organize a relief effort for this wonderful family!

This morning while I was drinking my coffee I was reading the Green Bay Area Chamber of Commerce Newsletter and stumbled across this great opportunity for us to help our soldiers. I will share the info in the
newsletter with you now. I strongly believe we can hit the quota of 400 by the end of the week if we try really hard. Everyone even now can donate $15 bucks to put a smile on our fearless soldiers!
Preparations are well underway for the commissioning of the USS Green Bay on Jan. 24 on Long Beach, Cal. During the official ceremony, each sailor and Marine who will sail on the ship will be presented a medallion including many individuals in the Green Bay area and Northeast Wisconsin.
Sponsors are being sought for each of the more than 400 medallions to be handed out. For a $15 donation, an indivdualized notecard will accompany the gift, identifying the contributor and someone special to be honored, and iwll be presented in a black velvet bag.
