I always amazes me when you take the time to go to a home on Brokers Tour, only to find that it is a "no-Host" affair. I believe it is direspectful on all levels.

What are you saying to your client? Your time is much too valuable to do put up a minimum effort on their behalf. What if somebody comes in and is quasi-interested in the home? You would imagine that with a little guided tour, you could point out the high points, some of the not-so-obvious features, get a feel for how people are reacting to the price. Don't you feel that is important enough to take a few hours out of your time?

It is also disrespectful of the agents who are part of a Realtor community. We don't enjoy getting blown off!

If are thinking about listing your home for sale, You might ask your prospective agent if he or she holds the house open. Wouldn't you want that?

If you are an agent, don't go to these open houses. Let that agent explain to their client, why there are no business cards left on the table.
