Gilda Kemp CRMS - Mortgage Lending in Arizona

Excuse me while I "Toot My Own Horn"

Hey world, I just earned the Lending Integrity Seal of Approval

NotePadFor the first time ever, homebuyers have a simple, legitimate way to assess a mortgage professional - a sign that they can look for before they even step foot in the door.

It's called the Lending Integrity Seal of Approval, and those who display it have been through a rigorous validation process.

Make sure you're working with a responsible lending professional. Ask to see your mortgage originator's Lending Integrity Seal of Approval.

Musical Instrument Museum - Fabulous New Attraction in North Phoenix

I toured the MIM (Musical Instrument Museum) located in north Phoenix (Desert Ridge Community) today and I was completely blown away. Never has any exhibit gone this far beyond my expectations!

It takes at least 3 hours to see and hear every exhibit. It's really cool because you wear a head set and a device around your neck that automatically picks up on the exhibit you are standing in front of. The audio gives a history of the musical instruments you are looking at as well as gives a sampling of music played on it. The exhibits are segregated by regions or countries of the world. I especially liked the north American exhibits where popular music and the artists are seen and heard on video and the actual instruments are on display. It was segmented by regions of north America. Your eyes and ears are constantly in delight!

MIM has a wonderful concert theater too and a pretty nice line up of musicians from around the world. I can't wait to see my first show there. I hear the acoustics are fabulous. If you are ever visiting the Phoenix area, I highly recommend an afternoon at the MIM.

I took a few photos in the lobby (while I could get away with using my flash) but you can get a better feel for the MIM, the displays, and the upcoming concert lineup by visiting their website.

What a great way to spend my Sunday!

Get your Motor Running, Head Out on the Highway!

One of my favorite things to do on Sunday is take a ride on my Vespa Motor Scooter. Weather is almost always permitting here in sunny Arizona. My husband and I like to head north to Care Free or Cave Creek where the riding is easy, the vistas endless, and the destinations are plenty.

Today we had lunch at the Tonto Bar & Grill at Rancho Manana, one of our top picks along the dusty trail. I wish I had a decent camera with me but all I had was my iPhone camera. Oh well, good enough in a pinch. Here I am with my lovely helmet hair after dining on a cowboy cobb salad with herb grilled shrimp - yummm. I love their southwest cuisine - check out the website.

Happy trails!

Two ways to keep a really clean Bar-B-Q Grill

I hired Joe Padilla owner of Acme Grill Cleaning today to clean my well used Gas Bar-B-Q Grill. Living in Arizona, I use my outside grill as much as my indoor stove and oven. The problem is, my grill does not have a self-clean mode! In the past, I tackled this job myself. About twice a year I soaked the grill racks in tubs of degreaser and perhaps took the heavy crusty parts to the car wash to take advantage of the power sprayer. Over the years, this semi-annual dirty job turned into once a year, then it became never. I thought I was doing a pretty good job too until I saw Joe's finished product. It's like I have a brand new grill!

Acme Grill Cleaning safely removes all traces of grease, fat, and carbon deposits, especially in areas you can't see. They even unclogged my burners. Joe arrived with his assistant on time, they were incredibly neat and tidy about their work and were in all ways respectful of my property.

Visit Joe's web site and check out his "before & after" photos and don't forget to take the I-"Q" Test.

So, what are the two ways to keep a really clean Bar-B-Q Grill? According to Joe, either never use it, or hire Acme Grill Cleaning.
