It is another cold day in Wisconsin. I might add though it is not as cold as it will be and I will take that rather than below zero weather and all the snow.
Recently, I found myself driving through down town Milwaukee and was marveled by all the new building, and the new billions of dollars of highways going through the City.
As big as Milwaukee will get you still cannot help to have a sense of security, and the average person walking down Wisconsin Avenue, or Michigan Avenue, still lends you that warm, kind smile.
It would be something for the town fore fathers to see what has happened to the City. The Port masters, the river masters, The beer barns; ah, the beer barons. There is so much beer in this City that people water their flowers with it! The World's largest four face clock at Rockwell always keeps me on time. Sometimes, I wonder if that is good, or if it could be off at times it would make my day easier. Gone are the days where the local radio personality was Tom Snyder, and life was nothing more than turning on the ball game in your garage.

One gets a good feeling in this clean, productive City. The service from local vendors in genuine, and you don't have to go very far to venture from new World dogma to Old World Charm.
Baseball to power tools, beer to, well, beer, it is all here. Why not come and visit me. If you would desire come by and visit me, and let me show you a tour of this great City, and perhaps one day you may call it home!

Wisconsin. Four magnificent seasons. All very beautiful, but Winter can be extremely cold, and lots of snow.
There exists a treasure that really has to be experienced if you are ever in the City of Milwaukee.
It is known as "The Domes" The Mitchell Park Conservatory. Three completely different domes: One Desert, One Tropical, and one reserved that is known as seasonal. The seasonal dome has Easter, Christmas, and many other displays and floral gardens. Incredible diversity of plant life. Besides being of extreme size, this vision of being able to observe and participate in different Botany Worlds really is something to marvel.

In slower markets we have a tendency to sit back and wait for the home activity to pick up. being a Commercial broker for over twenty years I find that many brokers forget about what some consumers might consider the second American dream; that being owning their own business.

The neat thing about SBA loans is that it allows people that have dreams a way to make them happen. I had a woman come into my office and I was able to put her into a nail salon, health salon combo. She had her business in it, and she now has the Real Property which she owns.
The same applies to Chefs that want their own Restaurant. There are many possibilities and the SBA looks at all of them pretty seriously. It requires a consumer to have a mission statement, game plan, and ideas on paper, but this is something that would want to be done in any case. Goals if you will. I can personally say that there are ways for people to become the entrepreneurs they always wanted to be. It is just knowing what direction to move in, knowing the correct people to talk to, and more importantly, the burning desire to run your own business. One of the most charming little towns in Waukesha County is Genesee Depot.This town is full of history, and was also home to a couple that help made it famous. A monument at their grave says "Alfred Lunt and Lynn Fontanne were universally regarded as the greatest acting team in the history of the English speaking theater." They were married for 55 years and were inseparable both on and off the stage.
By the mid twenties the couple were the two most respected, most popular, most critically acclaimed, and highest pay stage actors in the country. At the height of their individual careers, they made a remarkable decision. They each took enormous pay cuts to sign on with the Theater Guild. By doing this they were able to have to clauses put in their contracts; one was that they would never act separately, and that they would not work in summer. This allowed the Lunts to retreat to ten Chimneys to retreat,recharge, and rejuvenate.
The couple would have Noel Coward, Gary Grant, Truman Capote, Lawrence Olivier, Eleanor Roosevelt, Helen Hunt, John Gielgud, Julie Harris, and much more to Ten Chimneys to entertain them, and to let them enjoy the splendor of Ten Chimneys.
Almost all of Ten Chimney's historical furnishings, hand-painted murals, enchanting personal decor, and diverse collections are intact and unchanged since the Lunts first assembled them. It is a living monument to theater and the arts, Ten Chimneys is overflowing with memorabilia, such as hand written notes from Lawrence Olivier, snapshots of the Lunts with the Queen Mother, and a large array of mementos. The beautiful grounds of Ten Chimneys can now be toured, and used for special occasions. It is an intensely popular attraction for a wide variety of individuals wishing to experience the inspiration of this historic site. There is now a "Ten Chimneys foundation" established to support exciting public programs such as theater, arts, and arts education in collaboration with an impressive list of national advisors.
Genesee township is located near the center of Waukesha County (between Waukesha and Ottawa) in the beautiful "Kettle Moraine" area of southeast Wisconsin. The area was found by German, Welsh, Irish, and English immigrants in the early 1840's. The entire area was formed 10,000 years ago by the glaciers. Now its terrain is very hilly, and the soil is shallow. One impact that made Genesee unique is the number of independent settlements in the township. There were five seperate trading centers (Genesee Village, Saylesville, Genesee Depot, North Prairie, and Wales) created by roads, railroads, and waterpower.
Today Genesee Depot is a wonderful community of restaurants, attractions, relaxation, and community events. The surrounding neighborhoods make for a extremely pleasant environment to live in.
