Golden Eagle Banquet to be help Friday March 9th, 2012. The Golden Eagle Banquet will be held at the First United Methodist Church, 605 W. 6th Street at 6:00 pm here in Mountain Home, Arkansas.

This is an annual event is designed to recognize local community Leaders while being a strong fund raiser for the Westark Area Council, Boy Scouts of America.
The program this year will honor Calvin Czeschin of Mountain Home, AR for his outstanding contributions as a community leader, businessman and philanthropist. As a Boy Scout, Mr. Czeschin attained the rank of Eagle Scout and has been a proponent and supporter of of the values and lessons learned while a Boy Scout.
I am proud to say that My son, Bobby howard will be speaking on what Scouting has meant in his life. Bobby's brother Chris hopes to attend as an Eagle Scout alumnus as well.
The Boy Scouts of America program is about building character in young men. If you would like more information on Scouting in the Mountain Home, Arkansas area please feel free to contact me.

Bridge Bash 2011, I will be part of the First Annual Bridge Bash this weekend...We are calling it Bridge Bash 2011 for obvious reasons. This whole project is to raise awareness and Provide Hunger Relief for North Central Arkansas.

We will gather 2000 people on the beautiful Rainbow Arch bridge over The White River at Cotter Arkansas just a few miles west of Mountain Home to take a photo of all the people on the Bridge....thus the name Bridge Bash 2011!
I will be running the sound equipment for one of the bands entertaining Saturday...We have the first slot at 10:00 am so come on down if you are in this area and enjoy. The Crossroads Praise Team is performing as well as The Cowgill Family, The High Strung Band, Rio, Kim Richardson, and Bomshel!
Bridge Bash 2011 will help us build bridges from hunger to hope! Our goal is to have 2000 people, Raising $40,000, to Provide 200,000 meals through the Food Bank of North Central Arkansas.
This event is bound to grow into a regional event! Arts and Crafts, Food, Classic Car Show, Motorcycle Show, Kids Corner, Arkansas Game and Fish will have its Display Fish Aquarium on site as well.
Football and Fishing...If You live in the south already...You know what I am talking about. If You live in North Central Arkansas near Mountain Home, You probably are too busy to read this.

The Start of September brings us College Football. I am an AVID Arkansas Razorbacks fan....I Love my Hogs...Some of You may have strong feelings for other fine institutions of higher learning. I can appreciate that. We will discuss football, and I will even promise to remain civil!
The Fishing part...? The White River flows through the beautiful Ozark Hills just outside of Mountain Home. The White River is world famous for Rainbow Trout fishing and has some world class Brown Trout and Cutthroat Trout fishing as well. The North Fork of the White River which flows from The Norfork Dam just south of Mountain Home to its confluence with The White River at the town of Norfork harbors Trophy World Class Brown Trout!
Football and Fishing...If You are into Trout fishing at all...You probably already knew about Our beautiful rivers and Trophy Trout. But hey...We are good neighbors. We will hook you up (pun intended) with some great guides to help you enjoy what we have been enjoying for years. The good folks at Blue Ribbon Fly Shop allow me to use their photos. Stop in and have a cup of coffee with them and enjoy the expertise of these folks! They really know their stuff.
Southern Cruisers Riders Club chooses Mountain Home Arkansas for it's National Cruisin for a Cure National Convention!
I just happen to be a Rider...any of you that follow my blog have seen photos from rides, and maybe even me on my Cruiser. I am not a member of The Southern Cruisers Riding Club...I may be by the end of the weekend!
I am proud that they saw fit to come to Mountain Home for their National Ride Convention. This is a huge Riding Club. The Club Charity is St. Judes Hospital and of course The Ride is called ....Ride For the Cure!
A Great Cause for sure! I wanted to post their flyer/ and photos/ banners etc... but was unable to get permission so I will post a link to their website.
If You are within a day or two ride of North Central Arkansas this weekend...Check it out...It should be a lot of fun for a great cause. Bikers are Generous folks and We are happy that Southern Cruisers Riders Club chooses Mountain Home Arkansas.
Center of Hope Charity Dog Show, Mountain Home, Arkansas, All Proceeds to benefit Ozark Center of Hope! This should be a really fun event for all of us Animal Lovers!
The Center of Hope Charity Dog Show will be held at The Mountain Home High School right here in Mountain Home, Arkansas. When.....? October 1st! All entries must be in by September 15th!
The Admission is reasonable....$2.00 for students and $5.00 for Adults.
