As a First Time Home Buyer...
As a first time home buyer I was adamant that I did not want to feel rushed in making a purchase. D'Arcy was professional, informative and went my preferred speed. Congratulations to A. and K. a young (25!) couple who just sold their loft in New West and bought a town home in Cloverdale with us. Richmond Negotiations
Congratulations to Y. and I. who closed on a nice 1 bedroom and den apartment in Richmond. This deal is proof positive that negotiations never end. When we discovered a future assessment for $8,000 coming down the road in 2008 after reading the strata minutes, they didn't drop out of the running, but instead we negotiated a new price. Yes, if you discover something after getting an accepted offer you can renegotiate based on the new information. Congratulations to you both.
Assignment Sale...
Congratulations to F. and M. who listed and sold their assignment at the BRIX on Commercial St. with us. Previously they had it listed with another agent and 6 months (over 180 days!) later it still hadn't sold. After listing it with the Harris Team, we got it sold in under a month for just under their asking price, congratulations to you both...
West End profit...
Here's a little background: My clients M. and C. bought an apartment in the West End of Vancouver 6 months ago for $185,000. Last week, they listed it with us for $199,900. Our marketing kicked in and in less than a week there were 8 offers on it. It was sold for $220,000, which just happens to be $20,000 over the asking price (I know, I'm a math genius..) With the extra cash, they'll be going to Papua New Guinea and Costa Rica. Love it. Congratulations to both of them.
Sold in a day...
congrats to N., a wonderful lady who just listed and sold her duplex with us. It was listed at $562,000, and sold for $575,000 on the first day it was shown to anybody. There were 5 offers on it. N. said to take offers as they came in and after the dust had settled she accepted a no subject offer for $575,000.
