Took the trolley to the north end of the Island this past weekend and went to Two Scoops–at the shopping center on the corner of Pine Avenue (which is coming along nicely) and Bay Blvd. Always fun to have the grandkids out here, enjoying the island that I love so much. It’s Hot! Cool Off at the Island Branch Library on Anna Maria Island!

You can drive, walk (from most places) or take the free trolley on over to the Island Branch Library! For more information online, you can visit the Manatee County Public Library System here!

  • Wednesday, July 13 : College entrance help for young adults, 5:30 p.m.
  • Thursday, July 14: Jim Whitehurst demonstrates wizardly magic, 10:30 a.m. (For kiddos.)
  • Wednesday, July 20: Young adult program, Your Dolphin Neighbors: Mote Marine, at the Island Branch Library 5:30 p.m. (Teens.)
  • Thursday, July 21: Friends Book Club, 10:15 a.m. **Bring whatever book you’ve recently read and loved! Discussion is open! (Adults.)
