A lot of people ask me how the real estate market is and whats going on in Myrtle Beach. The market has suffered like most of the country but things are starting to turn around now in a big way. We have a lot of demand due to the baby boomer generation that love the low cost of living coupled with the year round golf. The median home price is still one of the lowest for a coast in the entire country. The current median is $208,000. I am very positive about the market and believe a correction was very necessary. The speculative building has slowed down and the market has gone from being very superficial to more solidified. Buyers are now second home owners or full year residences. The area has slowly moved away from it's seasonal relation to more of a year round environment.
