Home Retention Consultant
What is an HRC?
As a Home Retention Consultant I am trained and employed to speak with folks who have fallen behind in their mortgage payments. My primary goal is to help them keep their home.
It is a very private meeting with myself and the homeowner. We go over your financials, discuss your options and help put you back in touch with the lender. The last thing the lender wants is your home.
They WILL take it if you do nothing.
This recession has affected all levels of our economy and social structure. I have helped folks in $50,000 homes and $1,900,000 homes. You are not alone and please don't beat yourself up mentally. This problem is bigger then all of us.
If you or someone you know needs my help in this difficult time, PLEASE, use the contact information below and use the code HRC in the Subject Line. My objective is to help you keep your house. There is no charge and it is confidential.
Best Regards,
Greg
I recieved a call to action request late yesterday from the National Association of REALTORS asking that I support the Emergency Bailout. I couldn't do it. It is the first time in memory that I didn't jump at the opportunity. I am asking you not to click the call to action link.
This "emergency" has been going on for about 12 days now. The earth hasn't stopped spinning, the government hasn't ceased to legislate, it will be alright! Sure we're going to tighten up on credit. There will probably be a little less under the Christmas tree this year and you may not be able to continue to live on credit cards and future promises for a while after this period. But it will be alright.
As each day passes and cooler heads prevail this emergency is understood more. Wall Street experts are beginning to come out and denounce the plan.
In an interview with CNBC, Jim Rodgers, CEO of Rodgers Holdings said "History shows these plans don't work. What does work is to let the market clean itself out,"
Retailers have already begun to change their startegy by increasing inventories earlier then planned and reducing prices on select items to entice consumers to buy from their chains. This one example shows how quickly a free market can work. The governmet is still trying to figure this mess out while the private sector is already in action mode. Walmart will make money this year. It will pay its employees, who will buy their consumer goods, and the economy will continue.
Not many of those employees are in fear of losing thousands in the stock market. They already understand hard times and unaffordable housing. They more then likely will be the least affected by this downturn. They are proof that you won't die if you don't have a credit line.
Will it be hard for a short time? YES. Will credit be tougher to obtain? YES. Will we recover faster? YES. Will America and the world economy be better for it when all is done and said. DEFINITELY!
I urge you to write your congressman and senators and say thanks but no thanks to the bailout.
I for one am tired of bailing out the good old boys everytime they screw up. If you didn't know Secretary Of The Treasury Paulson was the CEO of Goldman Sachs. Is there any conflict of interest here? How much pressure is he under to bailout his old buddies. Educate yourself and learn the facts. If passed this bailout will help them more then oit will you.

THUD!
The Sound of the Bottom of the Housing Market!
With the takeover of Fannie Mae & Freddie Mac by the Feds I would say we have seen the bottom of the market.
We are now in a recovery period. Interest rates will decrease (Today 5.625 fixed no points), Home prices will begin to increase.
How long is the recovery period?
I have no idea. A year or so? I do know that home prices won't be going down. Smart buyers will take advantage of the lower rates during the 4th quarter. All bets are off after the new year when a new administration will have control over this federal program.
Buy now while both parties are sure to pander to the electorate in the hope of gaining votes.
Any questions or if you think I'm way off base, let me know.

Although no longer a resident of Deer Park or New York State I'm asking you all for a little help on this project: If you are still a NYS resident, in any way or form, or know people who would be interested who live in NYS: Here is something everyone should consider doing if you want to help stop them from building another facility that would bring in about 600 or so more trucks a day, and who knows what sort of materials parked along the DP portion of the LIRR sidings. The freight lines do not have to even listen to local rules, for the most part they operate under the surface transportation board (STB) regulations and only the federal government can make changes. Anything that interferes with commerce is usually not even considered. So why would we want to let them build this huge facility just east of the town line in Brentwood? One a RR takes over as a site operator, anything goes! If they choose to ship in chemicals, and ship out garbage, there won't be much we can do about it then. The NYS Senate bill S6728 and NY Assembly Bill A09870 would stop this facility by enforcing the laws of 1987, which clearly state that this land should be transferred to the Edgewood Preserve. It is our best hope at stopping this project. Already, you can see the private RR operator parking the empty freight cars right over DP Avenue. This will certainly increase as they start using every old siding they can find to make this TRIM project work. And that does not even consider all the woodlands that will be bulldozed to make room for the facility. All you have to do is click on the below link and print out the letter twice, Fill in your name and address with a pen and sign them. Mail one to Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver and one to the CC address at the bottom which is our PO box. I would really appreciate some help with this! Thanks for hearing it out and I hope to see some letters soon. We are getting there, but this needs to be done first! http://www.deerparkschools.org/alumni/friends/BillEndorsementLtr.pdf
