I have been a long time blog reader, but really hadn't done much writing until recently.

What I have found already in my first handful of posts to ActiveRain, it's really cool to see how your points change - the ebb and flow of rising and falling in the rankings.

In fact, it made me ask a question out loud. I am currently 500-something in my county. Very cool. But out of how many, total, in each category?

Does AR have a breakdown of how many agents there are, per local category? Just for grins, it would be neat to see.

And now for a quick status update on my HOA database project.

I've collected HOA information from a variety of sources (I love Google!) and the count is currently sitting at just over 1,000 entries. I still have to remove duplicates, and then remove the entries that are not actually HOA's but other entities that have been included in the Internet lists for other reasons.

I have the following areas pretty well covered:

Pflugerville
Round Rock
Austin (north, south, and central)

I will be moving toward other areas shortly, including...

Cedar Park
Leander
Georgetown
Hutto

In particular, Google has very little on HOA's in Hutto, I've got the new / new-ish communities covered. It's the ones that have been around a while I am having difficulty locating. If anyone has a suggestion on where to look, I'm all ears.

I am looking for resources in the Round Rock, Texas area.

What I want to find is as many HOA websites as possible - all within the Round Rock area just north of Austin. This is to continue building my database of Austin area HOA's.

I am using Google as much as possible, but it's amazing how poorly-ranked many of the HOA websites are. I simply can't go through 100 pages of results for EVERY area I'm covering.

I have found a few Neighborhood Associations, so those are helping a little bit. If anyone in the Round Rock area has a site they can direct me to that lists Round Rock HOA's, I'd be grateful!

I am now knee deep in my HomeOwners Association database project. I started right before the holidays and was able to make a little headway late at night in between everything else!

If you didn't catch news of this previously, I am building a thorough database of HOA information covering the greater Austin Texas area.

I have made good progress already. I obtained a list of every single subdivision from the local board of realtors. That list was a whopping 4,000+ entries long! Needless to say, just going through the list is a big effort, but having it is a big help by itself! Of course, I get to do all the legwork to actually FIND which ones have HOA's. :)
