Feeling the H2O
If you ask Gregory why being near the water makes him feel this way, he'd pause and tell you there are too many reasons to list. But he would definitely tell you there is a serenity to water that is undeniable. To him, the immediately calming effect is matched only by the subtle connection to life itself. "You can be in the middle of the city, but if you have water nearby you are instantly transported to nature," he says. One thing's for certain, when Gregory is in or around water, he's in his element.
A Natural Passion
Another thing Gregory feels strongly about is animals-particularly dogs. Always acutely aware of the world around him, Gregory finds the needs of animals just as important as those of his two-legged friends. An active supporter of animal rescue, he has worked with various organizations, including Doberman Rescue, to find homes for abandoned, sick or otherwise homeless creatures. In fact, Gregory has rescued many animals over the years, and three of them live with him today. You can often spot them all poolside, since even his Doberman enjoys a dip in the water. Also, when he can find the time, Gregory loves to travel to exciting locales like Mexico, Toronto, Montreal and Amsterdam-but, being a Francophile, his favorite destination, by far, is Paris. Not surprisingly, if you look for him there, you'll probably find him enjoying a fresh baguette at a cafe by the water's edge on the Rive Gauche.
