Lyman Orchards In Middlefield Connecticut is the place to go for fresh fruit, and fresh baked pies. Lyman Orchards are located at the intersection of RT 146 and Rt 157 in Middlefield, Connecticut which makes Lyman Orchards very easy to get to from any where in the State.
Lyman Orchards In Middlefield Connecticut was first established in 1741, and is the twelfth oldest family-owned business in the United States. Lyman Orchards consists of 1,100 acres on which they grow their own apples, peaches, pears, strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, and pumpkins. At Lyman Orchards you can either pick your own fruit from June through October, or visit their store where you can purchase fruit year round.
Lyman Orchards In Middlefield Connecticut has been a popular place for the whole family for many generations, not only because of its delicious fresh fruits, but also for its fantastic fresh baked pies, and baked goods. Their "high top" apple pie, is as they say to die for. In fact in my opinion all their pies are to die for. My two son's favorites at Lyman's however, is their Apple Cider Donuts, and I have to admit they are among my favorites as well.
Lyman Orchards In Middlefield Connecticut is also a great place to go for lunch. They have a deli and prepared food section that offers a great selection of food, which can be enjoyed in the store, outside on the deck, or sit out on their beautiful grounds and picnic.
Fresh fruit, pies, and great food are not the only things that Lyman Orchards In Middlefield Connecticut has to offer, it is also a great place to go for fun family activities. They have a Sunflower Maze and Corn Maze in the Fall. The family can also enjoy a ride on a horse drawn wagon, or ride a pony. For those that like activities that are a little more physical, you can take in a round of golf at on of their two championship 18 hole courses that were designed by Robert Trent , Sr., and Gary Player. Or you can try a different type of golf, "frisbee golf".
If I had to describe Lyman Orchards In Middlefield Connecticut in one sentence it would be "a great place for fresh food and fun". If you are going to be in central Connecticut, Lyman Orchards In Middlefield Connecticut is a must stop.

The Topsy Turvy Tomato Tree Really Works!!! I ordered both the tomato and strawberry Topsy Turvy planters this year, and I have been amazed at how well the work, and how easy it is to take care of the tomatoes and strawberries. I have the planters on my deck so they are easy to get to, to water the plants at any time of the day. I ordered them late so the tomatoes are just starting to come in, but as you can see they have started to come in, and will be nice and red before to long.
I have been getting strawberries for about a month now, a few ripen every couple of days. However, I think that next year I will plant cherry tomatoes in the strawberry planter, and the larger tomatoes in the larger planter. I will also plant them earlier in the year since I will already have the planters.
So if you doubted the TV Ad's on the Topsy Turvy, don't, it does what it claims to do. I have been very happy with my Topsy Turvy so far and have recommended it to several of my friends.

Empower in Middletown, Connecticut trys to teach team building and self confidence through one or all of the following.
Empower in Middletown, Connecticut is located on RT 17 just before Durham. Connecticut. I stopped by there this week and was very impressed with what I saw, and will be suggesting it to our Youth Leader at Church as an activity for our Youth Group.
I do not like heights, but after looking at the safety measures that Empower in Middletown, Connecticut takes and the steps to ensure a safe and rewarding experience, I might even give it a try.
The course takes about an hour and a half to two hours depending on the size of the group. As I was there a group was just coming back from finishing the course, and they all felt that it was fun, exciting, and created a deeper bond between them.
I would encourage anyone going by Empower in Middletown, Connecticut to stop in and check out for yourself the Zip Line Course and ask questions of the staff. This promises to be one of those life experiences that you will talk about for many years.

Now that you have purchased your beautiful new home in Middletown, Connecticut, gone to Smith & Bishel for your new locks, paint, and hardware supplies. Visited to the Stone Post Gardens to get plants and flowers to spruce up the outside of your beautiful new home. Then made a trip to Lino's Market in Durham to get all the food that you will need for your first party to show off your beautiful new home. You will now need some wine to go with that delicious food, and there is no better place to go to than my favorite local winery, Gouveia Vineyards in Wallingford, Connecticut.
Gouveia Vineyards in Wallingford, Connecticut does not only have the best wine in the State, in my opinion, but it is also located in a beautiful setting were you can just sit back and sample some of their many wines, or just stop by to purchase a few bottles for those special occasions.
Gouveia Vineyards in Wallingford, Connecticut is my favorite winery not only because they have the best wine in my opinion, but also because it is run and owned by a Portuguese family, and it just so happens that I was born in the Azores, Portugal, so I do feel a special connection.
Gouveia Vineyards in Wallingford, Connecticut is the result of a dream of the Gouveia family to bring to America a resemblance of their grandfather's vineyard in Portugal. This dream became a reality in 1999 when the vineyard first opened up. Since then the family expanded this beautiful facility in 2007, and now has additional space where visitors can bring a picnic lunch to enjoy with their wine.
Gouveia Vineyards in Wallingford, Connecticut sits high on a hill, with a beautiful view of the surrounding area. It is truly an experience to sit back and take in the view while sampling their wines. I have been to other wineries, but the setting and atmosphere at Gouveia Vineyards in Wallingford, Connecticut is unmatched by any other.
Gouveia Vineyards in Wallingford, Connecticut has received many awards for their wine. Last year alone they received a Gold Medal for their Stone House Red, a Silver Medal for the Cabernet Franc, a Silver Medal for the Merlot, another Silver Medal for the Stone House White, and a Bronze Medal for their Cayuga.
My personal favorite is the Cabernet Franc, it is perfect with a Fillet Mignon from Lino's Market, but you are sure to find a wine at Gouveia Vineyards in Wallingford Connecticut that will accompany perfectly any food you decide to serve, or to just sit back and enjoy in the evening.
So make Gouveia Vineyards, located at 1339 Whirlwind Hill Road, Wallingford, Connecticut, one of the must see places, whether you are a resident of Connecticut or just passing through. Gouveia Vineyards in Wallingford, Connecticut is truly worth experiencing.
