I can not wait for February 17, 2009. In case you live under a rock that is the date that the television stations must begin broadcasting exclusively in digital format. People who are still using a TV antenna must get a converter box or risk losing their signal.
I have heard this 20 times a day for at least one full year. We have had this beaten into our brains, over and over, like some kind of torture treatment. I for one am totally sick (and tired) of hearing about it!!!! I don't even know anyone who does not have Cable.
It got me to thinking about, what else, real estate. Some agents will call and call and continue to pester clients until the clients finally stop taking their calls or answering their emails. Then they wonder why their clients seemed to have fallen off the planet. The clients are tired of hearing the same story over and over.
I know it is a difficult market right now, but in my opinion we need to ease up a little on people. Beating them down will not MAKE them buy a house. It's not a vacuum cleaner. They won't give in and say "okay, I'll take one of those. Give me the nice 4 bedroom for $550,000."
I totally believe that follow-up is the key to success but there must be a saturation point.
Remember, if you press too hard you will lose them. Lighten up and stop nagging. If they want to buy a house they will and with some luck they will buy it through you!!
