Inside Manalapan - Balmar Woods

Balmar Woods, Manalapan New Jersey

Balmar Woods is one of Northern Manalapan’s most desirable and sought after single family home communities.

It is conveniently located at the northern end of the township at the crossroads of Union Hill Road, Pease Road and Pinebrook Road.

There are 167 colonial style homes built between 1985 and 1994. Models offer 4 or 5 bedrooms and are sized between approximately 2,500 and 3,200 square feet. Homes are set on .50 to .75 acre lots, most with mature landscaping.

Built on a wooded area many of the original trees remain to give the development a very warm look and feel. The streets are named after Native American tribes such as Apache, Navajo, and Mohawk.

Within the development, at no additional cost to the residents, is a lovely family park with a tennis court, soccer field and very large playground for the children. The park, known as Balmar Woods Park, is maintained by the township.

New York City Commuters will enjoy the close proximity to Manhattan Bus Service along the Route 9 corridor. Manalapan offers commuter parking lots with permit, as well as daily parking. New Jersey Transit services riders travelling to Midtown Manhattan and Academy Bus Lines covers Downtown.

Manalapan Township offers residents an award winning school district with a tradition of excellence. In September 2009, Balmar Woods will be districted for the following Manalapan Schools: Early Learning Center (PreSchool), Clark Mills Elementary School (Grades 1 - 5), Pine Brook School (Grade 6), Manalapan Englishtown Middle School (Grades 7 - 8) and Manalapan High School (Grades 9 - 12). Through the YMCA of Western Monmouth County, the Manalapan School System offers before and after school care. More information available on the Manalapan Englishtown Regional School District Website.

donate heart

The goal of the 15th Annual Jersey Cares Coat Drive is to collect and distribute 50,000 “gently used” winter coats to at-risk men, women, children and infants.

Coat

Over the past fourteen years, Jersey Cares has collected, sorted and distributed thousands of winter coats to New Jersey residents in need through this program.

Companies, churches, police stations, schools and other organizations collect coats throughout the drive.

Volunteers then sort the donated coats and bag them for pick-up. Agency recipients schedule their pick-up and distribute the coats to those in need.
