At this time of year all of us have been at one time or another, the snack bar of the wonderful mosquito. Despite our best intentions to use a repellent, this sneaky pest still manage a bite that drives us to distraction! So what do you do if that one elusive tube of anti-itch cannot be found? Here are 7 great ways to fight back with items we have around the home:
•1. Rub the bite with the fleshy inside of a ripe banana.
•2. Rub the bite with soap.
•3. Apply an ice pack to the bite.
•4. Mix baking soda with enough water to make a paste and apply to the bite.
•5. Apply lavender and tea tree oils with a swab.
•6. Rub a piece of freshly-cut onion on the bite.
•7. A dab of toothpaste is soothing, too.
