It's a lot of zeros and it really started making me think. Beyond the fact that a government already in debt to the tune of 10 trillion already,(that's 10,000,000,000,000.) is now coming up with 700 billion more, just how much is this amount anyway.
Let's think of it in another way. How long is a minute? Not very long, unless you are trying to hold your breath maybe.
So how old were you a million minutes ago?
Answer: You were 2 years and 36 days younger than today.

How old were you a billion minutes ago?
Answer: You weren't, in fact the year would have been about 100 AD!
Now multiply it by 700. Where are we?
Answer: It depends on if you believe in Creation or evolution. The Creationist would say that satan was still God's favorite worship leader... The evolutionist would say man was just mastering walking upright. Sounds to me like we still are!
No matter how you slice it $700,000,000,000 is a big number. Another way to look at it is... it's about 1/1000 of the entire wealth of the world!
While we're at it... how about a few billion to save Darfur!
Lord, HELP!
*edited to add more zeros!!! oops!
I haven't noticed many movies I care to go to a theatre to see. So once in a while a great one comes out that I can't wait to see!
It's finally released today. It's called Fireproof and if it's half as good as the last movie these people produced, it should be worth seeing a few times. I personally can't wait to see it.

I can guarantee it will be a movie the whole family will enjoy. It will be in 800 theatres across the nation. Go see it, you won't be sorry.
Check it out here first if you want to:
And if you haven't seen the last one they produced, Facing the Giants. Don't miss that one either, it's one of the most powerful movies my family has ever seen.
Homes & Land surveys more than 1300 homebuyers about their neighbors
Tallahassee, FL (September 22, 2008) – If you want to be a good neighbor, you might want to keep the noise down. According to a survey by Homes & Land, one of the nation’s top real estate marketing companies, nearly a third of respondents cite noise as their chief complaint against their neighbor. The poll was conducted over a three month period between July – September of this year and included comments from more than 1300 active homebuyers from the U.S. and Canada.
“We offer several polls throughout the year through our Homes & Land Relocation Service Center to gain insight into various issues that affect homebuyers and sellers,” says Homes & Land CEO Patrick Nadler. “This particular survey generated some interesting responses.”
Kids and pets were also nuisances to many respondents as well as unkempt homes and neighbors who constantly borrow things.
Some of the other comments from respondents include a neighbor who:
• steals her plants and plants them in her own yard
• had an affair with her husband and caused divorce
• killed his cats
• shoots guns for fun
• has karaoke at night in his home garage
• peeks in their windows at night
• goes through her mail
• undresses in front of their open windows
• interfered with sale of her home
• talks too much
• stole her dog
• walks through her house without permission
• talks about Dick Cheney too much
Perhaps the most surprising statistic generated from the survey is that 21 percent of respondents claim to have never had a negative confrontation with a neighbor.

Concerning my pervious post from 9/07/08 http://activerain.com/blogsview/678713/Are-you-depresse
Senior Pastor Tommy Nelson of Denton Bible Church in Texas shares his views and experience with clinical depresssion. It's really good and worthwhile for all, not just Christians. Very eye-opening. I pray this helps somebody.
Bob
There was a post the other day by that title. And I believe it is very true, unfortunately. I say unfortunately because it has become very accepted in our society. Sexy is in, and has been for over 40 years now. The definition seems to change a little from time to time, such as, thin is in, then voluptuous is in, then thin is in again... it seems to be a moving target. I've even enjoyed the phase myself where bald is in. Something for everyone. I'm especially drawn to the bald stage... as I'm all over that.
So with that being said, I would like to share the sexiest thing I know with you. It's a very hot book, it's one of the most sensuous writings ever! It is also in the best selling book ever! In my book it's called Song of Songs, in other books it's called Song of Solomon. Here's how it starts...
1: 1. Solomon's Song of Songs.
Beloved
2 Let him kiss me with the kisses of his mouth—
for your love is more delightful than wine.
3 Pleasing is the fragrance of your perfumes;
your name is like perfume poured out.
No wonder the maidens love you!
4 Take me away with you—let us hurry!
Let the king bring me into his chambers.
Is that hot or what? How about this part...
5: Beloved
2 I slept but my heart was awake.
Listen! My lover is knocking:
"Open to me, my sister, my darling,
my dove, my flawless one.
My head is drenched with dew,
my hair with the dampness of the night."
3 I have taken off my robe—
must I put it on again?
I have washed my feet—
must I soil them again?
4 My lover thrust his hand through the latch-opening;
my heart began to pound for him.
5 I arose to open for my lover,
and my hands dripped with myrrh,
my fingers with flowing myrrh,
on the handles of the lock.
6 I opened for my lover,
but my lover had left; he was gone.
My heart sank at his departure.
I looked for him but did not find him.
I called him but he did not answer.
Now that's hot... and it's in the Bible. I know not many churches seem to want to address this book much. Of course there is the "sister" reference... although she was not his sister clearly. But it's the best guideline for young love, dating, marriage and all of life lived passionately. And that's reading it as it's written in it's natural context. It's God's handbook for relationships. Dr. Phil has nothing on this one.
Now look at it allegorically, which some theologians don't like, but since I'm not one... I will. Jesus is waiting for his bride. (Guys sometimes have trouble thinking of themselves as brides-me included) But I know I'll look great in white on my wedding day. I will be as sexy as I possibly can for my husband. We are to get ourselves ready for our eternal marriage. We need to be releasing the world and it's views and follow what our husband-to-be wants in his bride.
In another era, In Luke 7 there is a story of Jesus going to eat at a home of a Pharisee named Simon. Now these guys were fanatical about keeping the law. There was a woman who came upon hearing Jesus would be there. She was a sinful woman. We are not told her exact sin, but reading between the lines many deduce she is either a prostitute or adulteress woman. She approached Jesus and washed his feet with her tears and wiped them with her hair, kissed them and poured perfume on them. She recognized true majesty when she saw it...
LUKE 7:44 Then he turned toward the woman and said to Simon, "Do you see this woman? I came into your house. You did not give me any water for my feet, but she wet my feet with her tears and wiped them with her hair. 45 You did not give me a kiss, but this woman, from the time I entered, has not stopped kissing my feet. 46 You did not put oil on my head, but she has poured perfume on my feet. 47 Therefore, I tell you, her many sins have been forgiven—for she loved much. But he who has been forgiven little loves little."
Now that could be a very sensuous act, especially in that day. She was most likley known by the other men in the room, how did she gain access to a rich man's home? But the Lord was pure and he accepted her offering with much grace. That's all He's looking for from all of us. There is nothing wrong with sexy in the correct way. Let's start thinking sexy... but in a purer way. Do you see this woman? I want to be that woman... and I'm a man!
Tommy Nelson is the best teacher I've found today on this subject. I encourage you to check it out.
