To Tweet or not to Tweet?
I read many posts about Twitter on ActiveRain and I got hooked on Twitter. Here are a few Twitter related online approaches that I am doing and you can decide if they are worth it.
I made my Twitter account and I started Tweeting. Everybody is following somebody and I decided to follow. Someone mentioned Twitter Lists and I made my own. Real estate list, local list, sport list, etc.
Of course Google analytics is the place where I am monitoring the map of my soon to be finished website. As you all know the traffic is divided between referring sites, direct traffic and search engines.
I was pleasantly surprised with the numbers from my newly started Twitter. I have an average of 3 page visits per visitor from Twitter. Bounce rate is about 50%, and the visitors are local.

Meanwhile, I found 2 awesome Twitter websites. Twitter yellow pages www.twellow.com and Near by Tweets on www.nearbytweets.com, wich are great for your local Twitter needs.
SkokieLink is the first multi-zone free outdoor wireless network in the suburbs of Chicago. The system is a municipal outdoor wireless Internet access pilot project. It is a unique partnership between the Village of Skokie, High School District 219, the Skokie Public Library and the Skokie Park District. The project provides convenient access to the Internet from four public areas (see locations below), promotes the Downtown area as a destination and provides a needed service for residents of Skokie.

I read some great blogs and many different opinions on ActiveRain about the photos we use, how we dress or should dress, and how personal should we be on our blogs.
Time ago I decided to use this funny photo with Jacoby Cat on my Diabetic Rock Star profile. I use it on the Diabetic Rock Star widget.
This Community is for diabetics, and those affected by diabetes(my wife has beeen diabetic since she was a kid), who refuse to let it stop them from being... A Rock-star.
Maybe once in a while I could use this one here on AR, too. I think this one is fun!
If your road ever take's you to Albany, NY you have to take the Albany Acqua Duck tour. The tour duck tour is very fun and the architecture is amazing.
Here is the link to Wikipedia on history of Albany, NY.
This picture was taken in Prime Realty Group's office 3 years ago. I use this photo all over. Here on Active Rain Profile, on my website, on business cards. It looks nice and professional, but should I kick it up a notch?
Couple of weeks ago a "powerful, powerful" man, a good friend :) who is a Senior VP of Sales told me that I should replace this picture with something fun, hip and casual.

I had fun making this Avatar on FaceYourManga and I am using it on Twitter and MyBlogLog.
My next picture could be Haris Simpson.
Anyway, I am working on about me web page and I am planning to use more than one picture and this is my list for now. I am also thinking to make it just a bit more personal.
Any opinions?

Des Plaines IL Real Estate Market Report for past year months
11/17/08 - 11/17/09
I worked on real estate data from the MLS system and made an easy to understand chart that reflects the Real Estate Market Trends in Des Plaines IL. There were 698 properties sold in past year in Des Plaines IL with an average market time of 163 days.
As you analyze the posted data keep in mind that setting the price working closely with your Realtor and recognizing market trends are key to selling your home.

Sold Properties Summary
Sold Properties Avg. Market Time Avg. Sold Price Max. Sold Price Min. Sold Price
698 163 $184,494 $805,000 $16,000
Few Stats from National Association of REALTORS®, 2009
Selling a home is a full-time job. And most of today's buyers are online (nearly 9 of 10 recent buyers used the Internet in their home search), and unrepresented sellers have no access to major online marketing avenues such as REALTOR.com and other sites with large pools of listings to which buyers are attracted.
Just 13% of recent sellers sold their home without professional representation. Only 7% of these sales were on the open market (cases where unrepresented sellers were selling to family, friends and neighbors account for 6 percent of all recent home sale activity).
