Hello Columbus, OH Homeowners!
Fred Baisden Here with Burgess&Vest; Roofing and Home Restoration Company!
I want to touch on a subject that A LOT of homeowners are nervous about, roof installation pace.
I have heard from homeowners that they have hired a contractor and they came out and;
took they're time removing/tearing off shingles, took they're time applying felt paper, took they're time etc....
You got the point! The dangers of doing "slow work" is the fact that If you pay your crews what they deserve then they are happy to WORK HARD for you! It is also less dangerous for the homeowner.
Please allow me to explain. You contract with a company. The Contractor company comes out to do the install. (That is if they aren't already BOOKED SOLID FOR THE ENTIRE MONTH that is!)
They work slow which means that it takes longer, mind you that things come up out of your/their control, ie: mechanical issues, etc. The crew themselves are just plain "slow". The end result, your roof takes longer and once it becomes dark they must pack up and finish in the following morning leaving your "bare roof exposed" to the WRATH OF MOTHER NATURE!
Not a pretty site Eh?
Not to worry with Burgess&Vest Roofing and Home Restoration Company
We are literally installing two roofs simultaneously TODAY! We are installing in excess of 40 Squares and keep in mind they are full roof installations and the guys will break for a (1) HOUR LUNCH as usual.
This blog is intended to educate you in the entire installation process so that you as the homeowner and possible client can be better informed as to what, when and where to go when you need help, because i can say this without any hesitation, you will need help.
Just be careful as to hiring a competent and reputable contractor.

Hello Columbus, Oh Homeowners,
If you ever got water damage from your roof you would know it. Know why? There would be leaking and sometimes you get what is known as "pregnant bubbles" on your ceiling which means one thing, you have water laying and needs fixed IMMEDIATELY to prevent further damage. Knowing full well that you will need to have decking replaced on your roof once the roofing crew tears it off.
Every spring, there are HUNDREDS if not THOUSANDS of homeowners in desperate need to fix/replace their roof due to water damage for the prior winter.
Are you one of those potential THOUSANDS?

Contractors, Services. How to know you have a good contractor. www.burgessroofing4less.com
Hello, Columbus, OH Homeowners!
Contractors, services is an interesting phrase in itself. Have you ever really thought into it. The meaning that is?
What is the first thing that comes to mind when hiring a contractor? Reputation, Local Contractor? You tell me.
I did a recent survey of the latest homeowner curiosity as to what they investigate prior to picking out a contractor.
The most recent survey results state that Company Contractors, Services and REPUTATION was number one.
The reason is this, If a company has a good reputation, them the workmanship is preferably good and the contractor can be "trusted" for the most part. NOT always, but mostly.
In my personal and professional opinion, Contractors, Services and REPUTATION was number one.
Everything, in my opinion builds from Contractors, Services and REPUTATION. At Burgess&Vest; Roofing and Home Restoration Company, we are proud of our competitive pricing and established reputation!

Hello Columbus, OH!
Just a follow up regarding to the water that mother nature poured upon us this fine Saturday, February 21st, 2009.
Right now a lot of you homeowners are looking at your ceilings.
Looking at the water going, trickle, trickle, trickle and you are wondering if you have water leaking from your roof and I can honestly say,
Probably,
Probable so. You and you alone know the age and shingle type of your roof shingle and a funny thing that I found out today from a homeowner. They called a very well known competitor (No, I will not say who to embaress them, they have hard enough time selling as is) and the person on the other end off the phone stated that there would be a $127.00 Property Inspection Consultation "fee" ???
Seems to me if you got nothing to hide, your a reputable contractor and you do the right thing to people (ethical, fair price, etc...) you really shouldn't have to charge for some "fee". We don't. Never have and never would for that matter. The way the economy is and the constant Ohio weather always changing as you well know.
If a contractor has to charge you to come out to do his own "job" but charge you, the homeowner in order to do it, what will happen if and when your claim is approved and financially speaking, will it be fair?
Think about it.
Keep in mind that whenever it is warm and then turns cold and turns to snow that causes freezing to occur and then when it turns warm, you guessed it water, alot of water comes down your roof and sometimes through your roof itself. You know what that means, more unexpected and unwanted financial burdens!
