Brief Bio:

Aloha,

My name is John Petrella. I am an Accredited Buyer's Representative (ABR®), Short Sales and Foreclosure Resource (SFR), a Graduate of the Realtor Institute (GRI) and a full time licensed BROKER REALTOR® in the State of Hawaii. My Hawaii License number is RB-18892.

Prior to my career in Real Estate, I managed and taught on the East Coast of the United States for over 20 years in a engineering research and teaching facility for a major university in down town Washington DC. For summer fun I worked at NASA/GSFC on remote sensing projects, and participated in field studies in Oklahoma, Alabama and Maryland. Before my engineering career at the university, I served several years in the USAF as a technician. While in the USAF, I was stationed in Alaska (6 miles above the Arctic Circle!), Alabama, Arkansas, Montana, Mississippi, Texas, Germany and Korea.

I know first hand what it is like to move to the Big Island, buy land and then build a home. I am so very happy to call the Big Island home!

Our Local Hawaii Real Estate Logo is two geckos. Hawaii legend has it that when a person needed advice on important matters that they took a walk in the forest and visited a giant lizzard like creature for its advice. This guardian or protector is called aumakua in Hawaiian. By Hawaii Law, it is our job to protect the public from fraud in a Real Estate Transaction.

We use two geckos in our Local Hawaii Real Estate logo because two is the minimum amount of people that is needed in any Real Estate transaction. A buyer and a seller.
