Open House Events On Weekdays...The Days Are Longer...More Time To Prospect For New Business

Next Saturday is when we move the clocks one hour ahead. That’s a very important factor that weighs greatly on the real estate business. It gives us more daylight to make appointments to list and sell homes.

It also opens up the time for open house events. It allows us to provide evening open house hours during the week as well as weekends. Families will be out and about after dinner. There are more hours to search for that new home and to visit new construction sites.

Evening open house events during the week work well. People are driving through subdivisions and if an open house sign is seen, they’ll visit. It’s a great way to prospect for new business, especially now. New construction sites are the place to be on a weekend!!

If you’re in need of new buyers, ask a listing agent if you could accompany that agent while she holds an open house in the evening at a construction site. The majority of buyers will not be purchasing in the subdivision they visit, but MOST will be purchasing somewhere.

We are listing agents and the only time we work with buyers is if they are a personal referral, existing seller or a past client. New construction sites are a buyers’ agent’s dream. You’ll be shocked at how many new potential buyers will enter that front door!!!

Price...Mortgage Rates...Energy Efficiency...Sustainable Materials.....Reasons For Purchasing A New Home

The new construction real estate market is rallying nicely. There’s an increase in the number of visitors to our open house events; we have had more inquiries from potential buyers; and there is discussion about the new home market with homeowners during listing presentations.

We have several new visitors expected this weekend at our open house events, and we know this because they call us to verify the day and times for the events. These calls are not only from adult community buyers but also single family home buyers.

Buyer agents would be wise to introduce their buyers to new homes in their area. The price of new construction is a number that has not been seen for many years. Many homes are offering three car attached garages; cherry kitchens; hardwood throughout the first floor; Andersen windows and many other fine amenities.

Builders are very competitive with their pricing and their specifications. Energy efficiency is at the top of the list today followed by sustainable building materials. It’s a great time to buy new construction…..the price is right….mortgage rates are lower than ever before.......the quality of the building materials far exceed what you live in now, and who doesn't love a new home???
