.....is a fairly common sight in Florida's wetland areas where small prey abounds. I've been witness to this bird munching on a..........well.....a snake, which I shared in this post DinnerTime in Florida's Wetlands The dribble you see is snake guts........what can I say, it is what it is. A very photographic bird with a keen eye and razor sharp beak, content to just sit, watch, wait...........then pounce. Not here though, this is just a nice pic with no gore!!!

NASA...Shuttles...Rockets...Astronauts....Kennedy Space Center....all reasons we are known as Florida's Space Coast. It had been 5 or 6 years since my last visit and I must say it's pretty impressive. Security
was tight but not oppressive, and...several new features have been added. There are 2 IMAX theaters.
One featuring Man's Moon Missions, the other a close encounter with the Space Station.........both
excellent productions lasting 40-45 minutes. I don't know why I found it odd, but the narrations are
done by Tom Hanks and Tom Cruise respectively.
We got to ride in the Shuttle Launch Simulator....don't let the warnings scare you off!!! There's much shaking and rattling and sounds of blasting off, but all within tolerable limits. This "ride" is purported to
be the most realistic second only to the actual lift off (which I don't plan on experiencing). After seeing
the sleeping quarters in gravity-free space...uhhhh, no thanks!
The newest exibition features photos taken by the Hubble Telescope in "deep space". We've all seen pictures of the incredible gas and dust filled nebulae, but seeing them on a larger scale can simply take
your breath away and tantilize the imagination to soar!

Market Report Titusville FL March 11, 2010 - With Absorption Rate
This is a short report which covers all of Titusville - MLS areas 102, 103 and 104 starting near
HWY 46 to Kings HWY on the south end.
I do specific reports on each of the MLS areas separately as the dynamics are different for each MLS area.
There are currently 643 active listings in Titusville
There are currently 130 properties under contract
There have been 293 closings in the past 6 months
There are a few less listings than the last report and fewer properties are under contract. Number of closings in the past 6 months has improved by 33 - good!
ABSORPTION RATE
Simply stated it will take 13.17 months to absorb the inventory of properties for sale at the current levels. This is a nice improvement over the past 2-3 reports. We're not out of the woods but definitely moving in the right direction. This is positive news.
The formula is simple: # of sales in 6 months divided by 6 = absorption rate.
# of listings divided by absorption rate = number of months to absorb.
There are 6,750 single family residences currently listed in Brevard MLS compared to 6909 in the June/09 report. The inventory is still decreasing and that's the best news we could have :-)

It feels so good to finally be home again in Florida! We want you to know that we could not have accomplished any of our relocation with out YOU! When we first began our process of moving, things seemed so overwhelming, looking at web sites, viewing literally hundreds of houses, and all the while trying to sell our house in South Carolina!
