When you are moving across town or across the nation you should work with a real estate agent that has knowledge about the different areas. Plus agents need to know who the point of contacts are so they can provide the buyers a list of people they may want to talk to or visit with if they have questions about an area. After 21 years in real estate I find buyers are not informed about the difference between being in a subdivision that is in a SID and a subdivision that is in the city.
Clients that relocate often, do not realize they need to interview agents that are going to assist them in one of their most important investments that affects the whole family. I believe when they are relocating they should be able to talk to 2 or 3 agents. The person relocating needs to know the agent will work for them so when they become a seller they know they had a knowledgable real estate agent. I have assisted hundreds of military families relocating to Offutt AFB plus many families that work for large corporations.
