I just heard that the state of Michigan just recently put a ban on baiting deer throughout the state. This ban is in effect not only for hunters, but those who even recreationally feed the deer because of T.B. and to stop a cronic disease of the stomach that they have been getting (unfortunately I don't remember the name of that disease). So don't get fined this year, and save your money on that new deer feeder as feeding deer is now illegal, even if you just do it to watch the deer come in your backyard like I do :-( I am not sure if this ban will effect planting clover and other plants they like to eat though as I am not sure they could do much about it especially since some of those plants come back yearly (like my clover) :-\
