Currently there are six homes for sale in the Arora Hills neighborhood of Clarksburg, Maryland. They range in price from $600,000 for a detached six-bedroom, 5 1/2 bath colonial, to a three-bedroom townhouse offered for $369,000 on Chestnut Glen.
Eleven homes in Arora Hills are currently under contract and awaiting settlement.
Sixteen homes in the neighborhood have sold and closed so far this year. The least expensive was a foreclosed $332,000 townhouse, and the most expensive was a detached brick colonial that sold for $675,000 on Sycamore Farm.

Here's some quick news on the Clarksburg residential real estate market.
The median price of homes sold in zip code 20871 is up 10.80% this October as compared to October of 2008, which is good news for home sellers.
So far this year it has been very much a buyers market, and this could be the first indication of a shift in the market back toward a sellers market. We'll have to wait to see if this is the beginning of a trend, or merely a statistical blip.

Adventist HealthCare is continuing to move forward with its plans for a full-service hospital and medical campus in Clarksburg, MD. It unveiled the architectural rendering for the proposed campus, which can be seen on www.clarksburghospital.com/news
The project has received key environmental, transportation, and land-use approvals from Montgomery County, and is under review by the Maryland Health Care Commission.
Last month, eleven upcounty state legislators signed a joint letter to the Commission, urging approval of the Clarksburg project.

One home in the neighborhood is listed for rent at $2,500 per month, and one is under contract after having been on the market for 13 days.
So far this year, one home in Catawba Manor has sold and closed. It is a 4 bedroom 4 1/2 bath detached colonial that was a bank foreclosure. It was listed at $370,000 and received multiple offers, eventually selling for $400,800.

The fourth annual Life Is Good pumpkin festival is set for this Saturday, October 10 at Clarksburg Town Center, starting at 1:00 p.m. and continuing until 8:00 p.m.
The celebration will include pumpkin carving, games, music, and food and proceeds from the event will benefit the Life Is Good Kid Foundation.
Look for the festival at the intersection of Public House Road and Ebenezer Chapel Drive in Clarksburg, Maryland. Rain date is October 11.
