The Clarksburg farmers' market opens this Sunday, June 7, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Opening day festivities will include live music, a petting zoo, moon bounce, hot air balloon, and an arts showcase.
The market is located off Clarksburg Road at the intersection of Public House Road and Ebenezer Church Drive.

The Clarksburg Civic Association meets tonight at Hawk's Reach in Little Bennett Park at 7:30 p.m.
Topics will include an update on Clarksburg parks, and the election of civic association officers for the 2009-2010 term.
There will also be a legislative update presented by State Senator Garagiola and Delegates Feldman and Dumais.

So far during May, there have been 22 homes that have gone under contract in Clarksburg, MD.
They range in price from a condo in Clarksburg Square that was offered for $246,255, to a five-bedroom new colonial on Yellowood Drive in Arora Hills that was priced at $749,990.
The "official" month-end numbers for May will be released in two weeks, and I'll be sure to post these as soon as they are out.
In the meantime, we've noticed a significant increase in the number of buyers who are expressing interest in starting their search for a home. They are being spurred on by news of low interest rates and a drop in home prices.

Adventist HealthCare is partnering with Clarksburg Town Center to offer wellness programs to the Clarksburg community. The partnership includes tests and screening for asthma and pulmonary functions, and classes.
The classes will be held at the Clarksburg Town Center Residents Club and the Clarksburg Town Center Farmers' Market from now through November.

Here's a quick update on what's happening in the Clarksburg real estate market right now.
As of today, there 81 homes for sale in Clarksburg, ranging in price from $1,399,000 for a colonial sited on seven acres on Burnt Hill Road, to $138,000 for a condominium on Brewers Tavern Way.
Twelve homes have gone under contract in Clarksburg so far in May, compared to fifteen for the entire month of April.
