I recently performed a home inspection at a home in Fontana at Sierra Lakes. I personally have golfed at Sierra Lakes and can tell you it's a nice course and a challenge to play. It is at the Foothills of the mountains and is just North of the 210 Freeway and East of the 15 Freeway, giving it easy access.
The homes in the community are nicely kept and some have great views. The house I inspected had a great view of a par 3 hole, you could see the entire hole from the balcony. Here's a panoramic picture I took.
What a beautiful view. I can just imagine sitting out there when the sun is setting and enjoying a nice breeze...

Over the summer my family and I went camping in the San Diego area. We rented a pop up trailer at Adventure Rentals in Ontario, CA and headed down the 15 Freeway. It's amazing, the old pop up trailers had a bad reputation as not being well built or comfortable... well, times have changed. It had a double bed on one end and a king on the other. There was a gas range, sink, table and a toilet. It's so light you can tow it with many different types of vehicles. We were very pleased with it.
We stayed at the San Diego Metro KOA in Chula Vista. It was a nice facility and we'd go there again. It was within 20-minutes of the San Diego Zoo and the USS Midway, both of which we visited on our trip. If you don't want to stay in a hotel, you should look into renting a trailer.
If you're looking for something to do for free, check out Cal Poly Pomona. It's one of our favorite things to do as a family. We go on the weekends and feed the ducks and see the cows, pigs, goats and horses. My kids really enjoy it, and so do my wife and I. During the summer we will also have a picnic and do some hiking throughout campus. We love it and we hope you will too.

When looking for a home inspector, please do your research. There is no licensing for home inspectors in California, so anyone can call themselves a home inspector. Some questions to ask when selecting a home inspector (with my answers in italics below):
Are you a member of a professional Home Inspector Association such as ASHI, NAHI or CREIA?
We are certified members of ASHI and a member of NAHI.
Do you carry Errors and Omissions insurance?

Are you a full-time home inspector?
Yes, we inspect homes full-time.
How long will it take to receive the report?
The report will be printed and reviewed on-site, no waiting. It includes color pictures, a summary, a detailed report and comes in a hard binder. The report can also be emailed that same night at no additional cost.
How long do you usually spend on-site?
The average time on-site is 3-hours.
Should I attend the inspection?
Though it's not required, we highly recommend you attend the inspection. It's always better seeing things in person, plus we can answer any questions you may have.

Background
I am a lifetime resident of Rancho Cucamonga. I am married to a wonderful woman, Sylvie, and have four children: James, Joseph, John Paul and Gianna . Family is very important to me.
I began my college education at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo as an Agricultural Engineering major. However, after some maturing and soul searching, I decided to change my major and move closer to home. I transferred to Cal Poly Pomona and earned my Bachelor's Degree in Behavioral Science and a minor in Criminal Justice and Corrections. I was named the "Outstanding Student in Criminal Justice and Corrections for 2002-2003". I served the community as a Probation Officer from 1999-2004. I then had the desire to merge my technical skills with my social skills. As I researched businesses, I saw the opportunity to use my technical and social skills as a home inspector.
