LAST Quarther!!! Where are you in your Goals?

Each new year brings a new hope, a new dream. Then we get to set out and take the actions to make that dream a REALITY.

So, Just checking in.... Where are you in your goals? Are you still working on them? Did you achieve them? Did you surpass them?

There's a challenge with goals.... If we stretch, we could fail. Say, for instance, your goal was to reach $10,000 or more per month, for an annual income of $120,000. And you ONLY achieved $9,000 per month, so your income was only $108.000. Did you fail? TECHNICALLY, yes! And that reminds me of the old adage; "Reach for the moon, if you miss it; you'll land in the stars." (Now, if there are any Scientists, astronomers and other literalists, out there don't correct this; we know the stars are beyond the moon; work with me, ok?)

So, whereever you are in your projected outcomes for the year, acknowledge yourself. You've reached the 3rd quarter.

If you're not where you wanted to be; forgive yourself. Look at where you spent your time, money, advertising budget, resources to see what worked and do more of that. AND Look at where you spent your time, money, advertising budget, resources that DID not work and do less of that.

I've met a coach recently; Stacey O'Byrne. She teaches the Secrets of a Master Networker. After 8 years, I thought I was great at networking, just looking to get a slight advantage. And the information I learned from her was invaluable! Things like a profitability spreadsheet for networking groups. I've been in my LeTip group for 8 years; in the past year, I've gotten ZERO from the group. And, as a MASTER CONNECTOR, I've given between 8 - 22 tips per WEEK. Guess where I'm NOT going to be spending my advertising budget anymore???

If you've reached your goals? Pat yourself on the back! Maybe it's time to step up those goals, or at least plan on stretching in the next year.

If you've SURPASSED your projected outcomes, look at what you did RIGHT. Who were you being that had you surpass what you thought you were capable of? Did you play small in your projections? Or did you make that one degree of change that resulted in being in an entirely different place at the end of the year? Did you do the work on yourself and the work on your business that resulted in this achievement? And are you sharing it with others so they, too can duplicate your success?

Wherever you are in your goal attainment, let's step forth POWERFULLY into the 4th Quarter! (She said, with a broken foot.) Let's make the changes necessary, and move into 2012 WITH VELOCITY!

Summer's Over and Fix and Flips are Heating UP!

There are two types of investing in real estate: ACTIVE Investing, where you can generate some quick money. and PASSIVE Investing, Mail Box Money, that, when done right, pays you every month, over time.

Every Strategy has a time; now is the time for the ACTIVE Strategy called Fix and Flips! It's also time for buy and hold, and that's another blog.

WOW, I've missed you guys!

WOW! I've missed you guys! Somehow or other, much time has passed since I last logged on! Over 2 months! I was out of town. For, Um, two weeks. And I came back, and have just NOT GOTTEN BACK ON TRACK!

It's only today, when I'm laid up with a broken foot, and going out of the house seems just too MUCH work, that I'm taking the time to get back to my Active Rain community; my Active Rain Friends! And that didn't sound gracious. I've thought about you; I've missed you. And I just haven had the time to do an extra thing in my life.

All of that extra work has paid off, though! I've had 8 new students in my real estate investor education. They are absolutely LOVING the extra support and training that I give to them, ensuring that they have the necessary tools to become successful and ensuring they are doing real estate!

4 new students are Realtors; they recognize that their license does not give them all knowledge of real estate investing. In fact, it gives them knowledge of CONTRACTS. Their goal is to ACQUIRE real estate now, while the market is down and provide even more valuable service for thier clients!

So, I'm back! I shall look forward to re-engaging with all of you. I've missed you!

Raze the Roof! Or is that Raise the Roof?

I was talking to my daughter today, and used the term Razed. Suddenly it occurred to me that Razed and Raised sounds EXACTLY THE SAME!

And means EXACTLY THE OPPOSITE!

Raze: To tear down, Demolish. Synonym: Destroy.

Raise: To lift up, Elevate!

And, as always, it took me off on a tangent. Are we Razing people or Raising them? When we ignore people, cut them off, or treat them badly, what is the long term impact?

I know that, the impact of my ex-husband taking me back to court was horrible; it cost me everything to prove myself fit as a parent. I won 3 times before he stopped the persecution. And, more importantly, it made me ineffective, took me off track from achieving my life purpose. It STOPPED me for 5 years from making the difference I am to make in this world.

When we fail to make a difference, what impact does that have? I am only just now going back to serve women living in shelters. I am just now working on acquiring real estate to create my vision for women.

Yet I'm working from a different place. I'm speaking to groups of women about empowerment, really understand and supporting women in a way that I couldn't before,

I'm working on acquiring real estate, on creating nonprofits, to achieve my dream. And I mentor others in learning real estate investing. I believe that this is one of the BEST sources for women to achieve their dreams, whether they choose passive investing or active investing strategies.

I've heard it said that God never wastes a hurt. If we are willing, and working towards His Purpose, He will use ALL things for good in our lives. I am willing.

So now, after 6 years of being off track, I am using the hurt in a positive way. I am using my experiences to Raise people up, to empower them to achieve their dreams.
