Green Home Search Needs More MLS Options

Our local MLS just revamped out search page. I was excited to see a few new areas, but not much as to help to search for GREEN. In Amenities:
our options that speak to green are Healthy Built Home, Southern Exposure, Energy Star Home. And in
Heat and Air we can choose Attic Fan Radiant or Solar. That's it. I'd like to see more.
If I have a client looking for particular green features, it would be great to hone in on those. I'd like to see insulation factors and R factors searchable. Green levels like certified green, silver , gold and platinum as options.
I try to keep in touch with green homes being built or regreened in our market but it would be a wondrous thing to be able to have that in our search. Does anyone out there have that available to them? I'd like to hear as many suggestions as possible.

GREEN Pin Arrived in the mial today! I Feel Officially Inaugurated as GREEN!!

Finally, our official papers and Green PIN arrived today. I must say the quite pretty and well as special to me.

I am going to feel great wearing this pin. It has a look of a delicate Tiffany designed piece. I am impressed! Not just another gaudy thing to wear but something cute and discreet!

Tomorrow, I have arranged for a group to come to present at our weekly Weichert Realtors meeting.

They are Building Performance Engineers and can certify a home as green. I am excited to share with the rest of our Weichert Family, some of the Green knowledge I was able to gain from the NAR GREEN Designee class and from reading everything i can get my hands on. Not to mention, HGTV (my reason for living some days! hah!)

BPE: These are folks who are far more knowledgeable than me, and a great resource and that's what being Green in real Estate is all about. Finding those who can help your clients or finding those folks who have the answers. As they repeated expressed in class, we as Green are to be the Source of the Source.

I like that. Our mini expo in the spring will have a at least a dozen "smart sources" available to educate those consumers who attend.

God Bless America!

The four levels of Green for homes as you most likely know, are Certified,Silver, Gold and Platinum.

Certified 26–32 points  Silver 33–38 points  Gold 39–51 points  Platinum 52–69 points

C:\Documents and Settings\Judy Wagner\My Documents\Maximizer Home selling Tips_guide.pdf

While talking with my niece about Home Staging i came across this Home Gain tip sheet. I thought I would share this link with other Realtors and home sellers as well.

Great Tips.,

Question to all Realtors at least in North Carolina:

Do you stage homes?

IOf so, do you stage them yourself?

Do you hire a stager to stage for you?

And lastly and most important....Has Staging helped to sell one of your listings?

Have a spectacular day, from Judy and Allan in SNOW COVERED Boone! Happy Skiers finally!
