Anyone that knows me knows that I ask questions - constantly. I want things to make sense. My daughter has also brought to my attention that I don't just ask a question, but I have to precede it with a preamble, an explanation, a teaser.
Now when it comes to short sales, I have a question. But, wait...here's my explanation first.
I've yet to handle a short sale but the thought of one does not scare me. Recently, Wells Fargo did a presentation on short sales for our company that was full of information from the banking side of things. But as a homeowner or an agent advising a potential client, is the main reason to consider a short sale the inability to continue payments while being upside down on the property? Once a mortgage company approves the home being sold as a "short sale" hasn't the homeowner given control of the sale to the bank?
I understand that this may be the best option for some people in our economy today. But if there is quite a bit of equity and it's not an upside-down situation, isn't the best solution for the homeowner to list it at a price that will sell quickly; even if it means selling it for less than they think the house is worth?
I appreciate help in clearing things up in my head. I will strive to be more concise in the future.

I thought I understood the concept of a reblog but apparently I was mistaken. No surprise there! I tried to reblog a post I liked by clicking on reblog. Then I went to the blog and clicked edit. I changed a couple of things on it, clicked on the groups I'd like for the reblog to post and entered. Even though I earned my 25 points for the reblog, I haven't found it anywhere? Where did it go? I must have missed a step along the way but I don't know where. Can anyone help? Thanks!

Yep, that's me - Blessed Beyond Measure! And what makes it even more amazing is that I don't deserve one bit of it. Let me tell you about my day ...
First of all, it was a beautiful day without a cloud in the sky and high in the 50s in Valparaiso, Indiana. There were so many people out walking the neighborhood enjoying their day. Spring is in the air. That right there is enough to put a smile on anyone's face. But there's more...
As I'm reading through some blogs on Active Rain, I come across one that was without a doubt written by a believer and disciple of Christ. It just shone through like a lighthouse. I just had to check this one out a bit more. As I'm reading the profile, I realize that there is a Christian realtors group on AR. WOW! I never expected this. I could not wait to read more posts by others in the group. Let me tell you - I was blessed by people who were not afraid to be vocal of their relationship with Christ. And I'm not finished yet...
My husband of almost 30 years gave me a gift today just out of the blue. No, it's not my birthday, anniversary, or any other special day. The gift is so special. It's one of those things that I've wanted forever but would never have bought for myself. I absolutely love it but I love him even more for making me feel so special.
Sorry girls, he's taken!
Have a great Sunday and go out and put a smile on someone's face. You'll be BLESSED BEYOND MEASURE.

Yesterday, I took some time to look through some of the groups on Active Rain. I focused on technology, SEO, etc. What a revelation! I didn't know what I didn't know!
Let me explain.
After reading some of the posts, I found myself staring at the computer screen blankly -- overwhelmed. I realized I had no clue what they were talking about. Some of the information was so far over my head that I could smell the smoke coming from my brain.
After a few seconds of feeling utterly stupid, I stopped ...
thought...
and told myself:
"Self, just think about where you were two months ago. Did you even know what SEOs, hyperlinks, tags, mega-tags, etc. were?
The answer to that would be absolutely not! I have to admit I still don't quite understand all those terms yet, but at least it's not as much of a foreign language anymore. Just think. I know that the computer will NOT blow up if I press the wrong key! Maybe there's hope for me and my aging brain yet. I'll just keep reading and learning from all of you knowledgeable people out there. Three months from now I may write a blog that might actually help someone!
Have a great day everyone. Go out...learn something...and then post your experience.
