Whats Important to You?

So what Is important to you? We make time in our lives for what's important to us. If I were to make a list of the important things in my life, it would look something like this:

1- Family is deffinitely a priority. If you put time into the family, you'll reap the benefits in the long run. When the children were young, they were the top priority in my life. Although there were many sacrifices made in order to be home with the kids, now that they're grown I realize it was worth every minute. I know not every mom can stay home with the kids. However if its an option, I highly recommend it. When you look back, you realize how quickly they've grown up and you're glad you were able to spend the time with them.

2-Career is very important to me to. If I'm not really careful, this one takes on a life of its own. Is it just me or does the Real Estate career seem to consume you at times! Its easy to become consumed by it when you so love your career that most of the time it doesn't seem like work! I just wished it paid a bit more regularly!

3- Spiritual Matters- I believe we have to be balanced in all areas of our lives. This one is also a priority. I believe you need to take the time to be thankful for all that you are, all that you have and all that you can become. For me, life doesn't seem to work very well if I am out of balance in this area.

4- Friends- Another area that reaps benefits. We need the support and encouragement of not only family but also friends. True friends can help us stay grounded in life. They can help us see things from a different perspective.

Of course this in not an all inclusive list. It just scratches the service and hopefully encourages someone else to consider what's important in life!

The Joy of GPS

GPS is one of the great wonders of modern technology. There is no way I'd practice Real Estate without it. You don't even have to purchase a unit for your car now! My GPS is right on my cell phone. It sure takes the guess work out of where I'm going. Nothing is perfect and there have been a couple to times its been incorrect. But for the majority of the time its been dead on. GPS has made it easier for me to locate sellers homes and to take buyers on tours. When you live in a rurual area like Northeastern Ohio and the roads and vacant land parcels intertwine with each other its very important to be able to accurately navigate the country side.
