Jackson Hole has a wonderful hospital, but it does not have a radiation treatment center. So, every now and again, my Scrabble-playing friend Carole Taylor in the oncology department asks for volunteers to drive cancer patients from Jackson Hole to Idaho Falls so they can receive radiation therapy. I meet some of the most amazing people that way.
My newest friend is Letty, who has made the 4 hour roundtrip to Idaho Falls every weekday for the past six weeks. I get to drive on Fridays, and we have gotten to know one another a bit. Letty is an incredible optimist, and I have yet to meet a happier, perkier human being! It really makes my day to visit with her each trip.
So for the first four weeks, Letty kept telling me how she is always seeing eagles and owls along the drive, but somehow, we never see one on Friday. I began teasing her, suggesting that the birds were all in her imagination. Naturally, not five minutes later, she shrieks out - LOOK, AN OWL! MY PRAYERS ARE ANSWERED, THERE'S THE OWL!
And sure enough, on top of the telephone pole is an owl. We stop, get out the binoculars, and get a great look at...a plastic owl nailed to the pole.
We're both still laughing about that one.

Tim Bradley began his career in commercial real estate in 1987, after graduating from University of Texas with an MBA in real estate and finance. He moved to Jackson in 1999 after a 12 year career as a commercial appraiser in Dallas, Tx. Licensed as a broker and an appraiser, Tim specializes in the leasing and sale of office, retail, and industrial property in Jackson Hole. He has closed over 140 commercial leases and sales in Jackson since beginning his brokerage practice in 2002.
Tim is a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM). Only 6 percent of the estimated 150,000 commercial real estate practitioners nationwide hold the CCIM designation. He has also earned the designation of MAI with the Appraisal Institute, the highest designation available for commercial appraisal. Tim is a past president of the Board of Directors of Teton Literacy Program and recipient of their Founder’s Award, and is president-elect of the 200 member Rotary Club of Jackson Hole.
