Have you heard people say that to you? If you've heard it STAY AWAY FROM THEM!!! Run away and keep away from them until they wake up. This market is not waiting on no-one and if they don't make it happen today what in the world would make them think it can happen tomorrow?
Now getting that off my chest let's explore this thought... Remember the old saying if you wait until tomorrow to get thing done all you'll have is more of today's work? You shouldn't have because I just made that one up. If you can get whatever you need to today get it done and over with. Putting it off tomorrow just means you'll have added work and will double your burden the next day.
If it's prospecting for new listings especially for the expired listings and you live in NW Arkansas since I'm back in sales you go right ahead and take a day off, go fishing, play golf, drive to one of the nearby casinos and just have yourself a good time. While you're doing that I'll be taking your listings guaranteed. To put it in simple terms I wait on no one and if you give me the opportunity I will get in there and prospect when you don't.
But you're a big boy or girl go right ahead and wait until tomorrow let me know if it did happen while I'm writing that contract until I hear from you remember: "It's a great day to buy or sell a home."

Don't ya love them boy I sure do. Helping keep me active and not have bill collectors beating on my door on a regular basis. My wife and I clean apartments and homes when people move out.
Man Oh Man! you ought to see some of the stuff people leave behind (some you should not). Talk about solid waste and pollution I can see where people from other countries have a difficult time seeing the things we as a people leave and throw away.
Besides donating a large and I do mean large amount of the merchandise to charity we've had garage sales you won't believe. Some of the places we've cleaned are difficult to describe as so some of the articles. It astounds me that people who do not have enough money to pay rent or utilities leave the amount of items they could sell to help themselves out of a bad situation. Some of the items are worth some coin. Anyway I'm not complaining just making an observation remember: "It's a great day to buy or sell a home."

I went shopping at a very well known and large employers store in my area yesterday and this is what happened.
I walked into this retail outlet to purchase a few items and get some credit on my gas card. If you use this card at the pump you get .03 per gallon discount. If you haven't figured out where I was so sorry for you..
Anyway I get up to the checkout stand and notice this woman in front of me checking out. In her cart she has various items including dog food, alcohol, cereal and milk. The checkout lady scanned her items and the lady swiped her card. End of story right, oh you're so wrong. It appeared the card did not have enough funds to purchase the items she wanted. That in of itself was no issue but what she did next got me to thinking. She started having the cashier take items off the ticket.
First to go the cereal (no breakfast for the kiddos) second the milk (ditto) third the dog food, but there was no way she was letting the alcohol go back, that is until even then the card would not work. When last I saw her she was headed to her vehicle with nothing.
I know this one is a little long for me but the analogy is striking. How many of us concentrate on one thing and let the others go? Step back and see the full picture. You can take one problem at a time solve it but make sure and solve all the problems. If you need help don't get bogged down either ask someone to help remember: "It's a great day to buy, sell or lease a home."

So I understand you need to get to the closing on time. You also need to pick up the kids from school or take them to the doctor. Maybe you need to go get a flat fixed before you have another one with no spare. What about the dinner date with the other client and the big listing you won't get if you are not there? Obviously I've been there and I'll bet so have you. You know what to do but are you willing to take the chance and have someone help you?
Sometimes we are just not willing to take the leap of faith or we've been burned before. Maybe there's no one else your it.
Its plain you have choices to make it's your call. Play each day as though there is no one else. Don't overload yourself but you already know that. At the end of the day regardless of what you decide to do or how you play it, it's all on you. You have no one else to blame but yourself. Hope you make the right call remember: "It's a great day to buy or sell a home."

What a great saying. I had an agent send that to me (Gail Tassey South Austin) Thank you very much.......... when she commented on another blog I had written.
No truer statement has been written. If you don't like what's going on no-one planted you where you're at move on. Just the other day someone made a statement to me at my office that did not set right with me and for a split second the thought hit me (what am I doing here?). In my younger days I may have stayed at places thinking I needed the money or was not valuable enough, had the knowledge, and a lot of other excuses that now looking back of course was not valid.
Some places I've worked at I was looking for an excuse to leave. I had a chip on my shoulder so big I wonder now how in the world I ever got my shirt on in the morning. Needless to say I did not stay long at those jobs. My first few years in the job market looked like I was skipping rope. It took me awhile to settle down. Now I don't want to leave, however be careful on the words you use to ask (not tell) me what you need me to do I AM NOT A TREE and I WILL UPROOT MYSELF and go. Don't whine and make other agents miserable if you are, remember you're not a tree and also remember: "It's a great day to buy, sell or lease a home."
