With the kids still in school and spring break still weeks away, we had all been having cabin fever with the unseasonably cold weather so we decided it was STAYCATION time!! Those of you not familiar with a staycation it is like a vacation except you don’t leave the city (or go very far). Fortunately for us we live in an area that makes this very easy and VERY fun.
The kids have been dying to go swimming so I thought we would try Dunes Village. This is a great resort with an indoor water park (that’s right INDOOR Water Park). We checked in around 2pm on Saturday and the kids where in the pools and waterslides by 2:05pm.
The amenities where top-self: Water Slides, Lazy Rivers, Water Play stations, Jungle themed kids play area and so much more.
Dunes Village offer Ocean Front Studios, 1-bedroom, 2-bedroom, 3-bedroom, and 4 bedroom Condos that are fully equipped with all the features of a home. Granite Countertops, Stainless Steel Appliances, washer and dryers, flat screen TV’s and everything else you could imagine. Not that we were in the room very long.
The best thing about the STAYCATION is the ride home – For those of you with children you know the dreaded “ARE WE THERE YET”. We where home in less than 10 minutes!
