New Bridge to open for traffic in Folsom on March 28th!

The Folsom Crossing Project is finally having it's day in the sunlight as the new bridge will be opening for traffic on Saturday, March 28th.  This is great news as it will re-open a commute corridor that has been closed since 2003 (Folsom Dam Road was closed due to safety concerns after 9/11).

This provides a great way to connect not only the older and newer areas of Folsom with each other, but also provides a great commute path between the communities of El Dorado Hills and Granite Bay.  Both areas rated in Money Magazines top 100 places to live in the United States.

Check out the link here to the Event Info posted at GoGraniteBay.com where you can read a bit more about it and follow the links to additional information.

Have a great one!

The entrance to Greystone Place in Granite Bay

Here is a quick video I shot from my iPhone while out running Granite Bay today. Greystone Place is an upscale, gated community located on the backside of Granite Bay Golf Club. It is located off of Barton Rd and there is access to a public trail nearby that will take you all the way out to Auburn-Folsom Blvd and Folsom Lake.

Have a great one!

1st Annual Bunco / Poker Tournament Fundraiser in Roseville

You heard right. Bunco and Poker together. That either makes it a Punco or a Boker evening. :)

Anyhow, this is a local event coming up in April that benefits the Roseville Community School (a small non-profit parent involvement school) and it looks like it will probably be a lot of fun. The date to reserve is April 17th and it is a ticket donation of $25.00 per person. It is an adults only event and runs from 5:30pm - 10:00pm. For your $25 you get: Dinner, 2 Raffle tickets, 1 Drink Ticket, and eligibility for all BUNCO/POKER prizes. Not bad for an evenings entertainment and it helps a good cause. Roseville Community School is a 501c3 non-profit so donations may even be tax deductible (check with you accountant on this).

For additional information on how to get tickets visit:

www.GoGraniteBay.com Events.

If you sign-up for an account on the site (Free) then you can even RSVP to the event.

Thanks for taking a look and maybe I will see you there!

5k Fund Run through Granite Bay to benefit Eureka School Foundation

As I am the Real Estate Broker running Granite Bay, I thought it only appropriate to put a local run up for everyone to check out.

The Eureka Schools Foundation is putting on its first 5k race at the Country Faire on Sunday, May 31st.

The race starts at 8:00 a.m. at Granite Bay High School and ends back there after taking a nice loop in and around the surrounding neighborhood (Treelake Village). It is a great way to help out the local schools and stay fit. I am going to be sure and do it and would happy to meet up on race day to see who else is running Granite Bay. ;)

See ya race day!

Running Granite Bay isn't all sunshine and birds singing...

Sometimes it is rainy, windy and bit grey. :)

Here are some shots taken from my iPhone when I was out on a rainy day run. Not many other folks to wave to or chat with, but a good time to be out and enjoying the sites none the less. Once you get past the discomfort of a little cold, wind and water, it is actually quite a serene time. :)

Taking time to exercise when it is not convenient or easy is often them most important time to do it. I find that the reward of just making the effort (even if it is not the 'best' workout you have ever had) is far better than having to face yourself in the mirror and say 'I could have and really should have...'

Enjoy!
