Stop The Foreclosure Myth In The Poconos

I continue to be outraged at both the local media and our Pocono Mountain Association of Realtors, who continue to do a disservice to the public by focusing on the 90+ foreclosures in Monroe County and not the other 2600 homes in Monroe County and over 4700 homes when you include Pike, Wayne and Carbon Counties. You have to wonder, who is getting paid here? How can you continually focus on something that is not a big problem in the Poconos, (most of the foreclosures are in Pocono Country Place anyway) and not talk about the other homes for sale? The proof is in the pudding and this is just one recent article - there are others in past issues that have been written in this rag called the Pocono Record, that have continued this pattern of propaganda. Stop the foreclosure myth!!!

My Recap Of The Pocono Wing Off

Overcast skies couldn't keep me or many others away from the 15th annual Pocono Wing Off to benefit Monroe County Meals On Wheels. There were many local establishments at the ready with hundreds of wings of all different flavors ranging from mild to wild! Some of the wild included 911 from Cluck University - THE hottest wing in my opinion, but that doesn't mean it was the best tasting. Click U's Honey Hickory was very nice tasting and then there were other establishments that really impressed me including my top picks. For best overall hot wings, I was torn between Garlic Hot by Pocono Pub and Fear The Pixie Dust by Wood's. Another great tasting wing but a little on the fruitier side was the Creeping Death, a Raspberry Habanero wing from The Big A Steakhouse. Punchin Pomegranite by Detzi's Tavern in Wind Gap was pleasant tasting and the Wasabi Oil and Pixie Dust also from Wood's was a nice surprise as well. It was a great day and I look forward to coming again next year and hope to see you there! The recap from the Pocono Record is in the link here: http://www.poconorecord.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20090810/NEWS/908100316. The Realtor Reviews...Jimmy's Brick Oven Pizza

Jimmy's Brick Oven Pizza is tucked away in a small plaza between Studebakers Restaurant and the Bartonsville Plaza where Moe's Southwest Grill is located. You blink or go to fast and you will miss it, and that would be a shame because I think he makes the best pizza in the Poconos. An authentic wood burning brick over produces a thin, crispy crust, but his sauce and fresh mozzerella all combine for the best pizza this side of New York. Make sure you say hello to Jimmy and tell him Jason sent you. Oh - I forgot to mention the best deal ever - 2 slices and a can of soda for three dollars and the slices are very generous. You can't beat that! For great business information and reviews, visit www.yourpoconohome.net, and get the best of the Poconos! The phone number for Jimmy's is (570) 421-7930.
