Its the end of the year and time to start your 2009 budget review! If you operate a business, a household or even your own finances the use of a budget and financial literacy is absolutely critical to achieving goals and controlling spending. The average american has never had any training on financial literacy and budgeting. In my quest to actually provide a tangible value to anyone who subscribes to this blog, I would love to share the budget template that I use in my personal and business endeavors. This budget is simple and even someone who has never done this before can easily start planning for the year ahead! Leadership is absolutely key in any endeavor you wish to be successful in. If you fail to lead in an endeavor you will never set yourself apart from the followers. I recently read a great book by John C Maxwell on leadership and it put into perspective the things I need to do in order to continue to succeed in business. The first and foremost factor in leadership is Commitment. Talk is cheap but actions speak much louder than words. Becoming a leader takes time and consistent action in order to be noticed. For instance in 2004 I helped to launch a chapter of BNI in Walnut Creek CA. This endeavor was a lot of work but absolutely paid off. I started as one person making phone calls and scheduling meetings and because of my efforts along with many other leaders within the group the chapter is not only self sustaining but exploding with growth right now. We have closed $53,000 worth of business for each other in just the last five weeks!
I am now looking to back away from leading this group and on to my next endeavor to build a successful network of Real Estate Investors that are all working together for common goals in success!
